PTR Prot changes

Im actually flabergasted with the patch notes. This must be about anchoring expectations? Set the bar so low, when you go back a little dimwits call it a win. Changes to rage gen have secondary repercussions. Lower shield block uptimes, less CD reduction, less damage, less healing, the buff to Igone Pain value doesn’t even compensate the nerfs even if you were to use rage only on IP before.

Also did anyone try playing colossus before pushing these changes? Colossus is already starved for rage and the changes are middle finger to the hero talent tree for prot.
Also I fail to understand the logic for execute change. Devs want demolish to be meaningful skill in execute phase hence they cut off the cd reduction during execute phase? Makes no sense.

Prot Warrior is in the most enjoyable place now since Shadowlands Fated Season, double back on these changes. Increase rage cost and the amount of absorb so it is less spammy. Don’t destroy the spec with these changes.

Tier Set is another topic (it’s not good) but even the best tier set bonuses wont fix the spec if it’s fundaments are broken.

I think the most important thing, if the devs go through with these rage changes, is this: protection warrior will be less fun to play since everything, including the rotation, will be much slower.

Also, as you already pointed out, this is a massive nerf to protection warrior and the ignore pain compensation doesn’t even come close to the nerfs of rage generation.

It just shows once again that they really have no clue of what they are doing with Warrior.

Still the same stubborn idea to rework rage generation, I think they will try hard on this the whole extension, even maybe the whole saga…

All these changes means that Prot warrior will struggle for everything starting S2, as you mentioned the buff is peanut if we loose on CD reduction.
