Re: 9.1 campaign stuff.
The more I read, the less interested I become. This is absolutely abysmal storytelling, quickly embodying “Minimal viable product” to an astonishing degree.
Add ontop of that yet MORE god awful grindy systems in lieu of content and I’m slowly but surely checking out of retail WoW outside of RP. RP is literally the only thing keeping me logging on every day. And the hilarious thing is Blizzard doesn’t measure that metric so they’re likely completely flabbergasted by my activity!

TALKING! He’s not engaging with our systems! What do we do?! WHAT DO WE DO?!!"

Probably nothing since you’re willing to give them money for no content, why would they make content for you?
And ultimately when the RP dries up, I’ll go. Because there’s no content to keep me here right now.
Probably counting you as someone camping a rare or pet or something. They probably don’t look closely enough to tell there’s no pet there.

Roleplayers are low maintenance old reliables demanding virtually no upkeep to retain. Just a few customizations every 7 years. Blizzard knows that we exist, just not in the way we might like.

On the other hand, they’d have like 4x more ‘old reliables’ if they actually, you know, paid attention to those old reliables and did a little more than the bare minimum once every decade.
Something something society elderly members et cetera et cetera.

Chances are that the game won’t live long enough to see them pander for retention (beyond retreading expansions themes + classic) but it sure would be nice to see dedicated teams announce new customizations and roleplay features every other patch along with the raid stuff, knowing how little it would actually take.
The fact that the animations exist for staves /polearms being held upright and we can’t use them tells you everything you need to know really.

Just look in the modelviewer (both the installed and wowhead ones) how many animations there are that are only used by either NPC’s or not at all… It sickens me.

A good time for our bimonthly reminder that Ion is 100% detached from the concept of immersion and is a man who seemingly sees the game in spreadsheets and timers. This is his character, aerodynamically designed for clearing content and absolutely nothing else.

It’s not ‘being mean’, it’s trying to get through the mile thick barrier of mixed Arrogance/Ignorance and TRY and encourage improvements to a game and setting people previously loved.
When even the Raid/Mythic/PVP crowd are crankier than usual, that should be warning bells, but none of them are listening! Bah

Am i out of touch? No, they must be!
The abysmall lack of content that isn’t Raiding, PVP, Dungeons is so glaringly obvious that only Blizzard seems surprised by it.
“But Torghast was supposed to be content filling that gap!” said a mentally challenged dev.
Only to serve us with what is the lesser version of an Alpha/Beta version, with less reward than Island Expeditions of all things and so incapable of catching your attention that the only way they could get us to play it was to force Legendaries to be connected to it.

honestly i’d rather do pre-change islands than torghast
exploring and killing rares is what i do already in torghast, but at least the islands had yknow, a change in scenery every now and then. torghast is just same style blah, with maybe a fire pit somewhere.
the additional buffs are cool, but kind of get old fast as well since you just scale in power and don’t really feel much of a change other than in numbers.
