I still can‘t grasp how the plot turnt out so 7D Chess-like that even Sylvanas couldn‘t follow her steps anymore.
Even my local newspaper brings out better stories.

yo the % of likes on the video is actually lower than the % at which the boss finishes at
maybe if we can get likes down to 0.01% she’ll actually just suddenly die
Dang, what a shame that’d be.
You know what?
Heck you, Unbanshees your Banshee Queen.
Yes indeed, because we‘d have to get used to new names of a terribly written story eventhough we really just learnt those of the ones included in Shadowlands…
Don’t worry, the No Longer Dark Lady Sylvanas Windrunner, former banshee but still Queen, will be around for a lot longer!
I don’t really agree with the personal flak people like Golden are getting for this.
Though with that said, it’s not as though they actually listen to anything constructive that’s given to them either. Be it about the beta or the narrative. Not that they look beyond twitter or YouTube thumbs by the looks of things.

Sending death threats towards the devs or people who found themselves able to enjoy this is incredibly toxic to be honest. It’s only a game and attacking other people over it is really

Issuing out death threats is always a loser thing to do. I loathe this cinematic and it seriously makes me doubt my enjoyment of the story in the future, but that doesn’t mean the writers deserve anything more than criticism. I don’t even think Christie Golden is behind this. Just has Danuser written all over it.
Sending death threats
Tw*tter moment.

Honestly it sometimes feels like this thread is walking close to the line too

Not even like/dislike ratios. Look at the ratio on the N’zoth cinematic.

She’s not, Golden doesn’t direct/decide story stuff. Her and the team she’s part of work across different blizz games (Golden has wrote a number of the Hearthstone trailer songs for instance). Story direction comes from Ion and/or Danuser.

Golden is unfortunately the first person people think of when it comes to WoW writing staff. I’m reminded of the aftermath of Warmongers: Sylvanas when she got death threats despite not even working with Blizzard properly before the cinematic was finished.
Broke: Golden should be fired.
Woke: Danuser should be fired.
Bespoke: Fire them all.

I don’t think Danuser should be fired. However I think he should either step down as story director or have someone else assist him with his job. The narrative is just turning into Game of Thrones Season 8 levels of writing and it’s levels of comprehension that goes over the average player’s heads.
Not to mention that he was hyping this up like crazy on Twitter only for it to be the most predictable thing ever. He thinks the story he’s created is far smarter than it is in reality.
i think the most impressive part is that they’ve managed to retcon something within the expansion
start of shadowlands: yeah they’re totally partners and equals bla bla
now: ackshually the jailer was holding half her soul hostage
the only good thing in SL has been 50 seconds of garrosh staying true to his character
reject thrall, return to an orc with a spine

Woah there partner, you take that back or I’ll activate my trap card (Telaryn) to rant about how Thrall always had a spine.
Edit: Telaryn get in here and rant about orcs please.

Just a shame a character that was once such an integral part of WoW culture had his sendoff in a low budget cinematic.
But it was badass in its own right I suppose.
