The theramore bomb destroyed all versions of theramore across all timelines, presumably killing gajillions of people.
Always good to keep a snack on hand.
On head, Levey.
but hey taurajo happened in this timeline so it’s justified !!
You mean when we were still cavemen, right? I’ll agree, that wasn’t exactly our moment of advancement.
Burning of Tedrassil and destruction of Theramore and enslavement of its people are obviously to equalise the traumatic loss of the great city of Taurajo.
Yeah, but just saying our sudden explosive growth in such a short time is an outlier, not the norm for most of human history
actually it was justified because jaina is a b-word

A side effect of not having been subbed to WoW for six months is that I’ve realised how much of the worldbuilding was insanely shallow. What WoW does manage to do is wring other seminal fantasy works dry of their original themes, which is why the history of every “ancient civilisation” faction is taking pyrrhic victory after pyrrhic victory without ever actually keeling over, because Tolkien did an elegiac story so everyone else has to as well. Virtually no thought has really been given to how cultures at wildly different levels of technology and magic would interact with one another and it really shows - it only really gets mentioned when there’s a wacky “zaney faction is frustrated nobody gets their tech!” like that Gnome one in Ashenvale from Cataclysm.
I used to look down on Moon Guard and some Argent Dawn RPers because of how wacky their concepts were and how little they suited the lore, but frankly most of them put more effort in than the writers.
I look back at the lore accuracy discourse and wish I could take it all back…
Atleast in the case of the Draenei they have finally scored their actual victory. The Legion is broken, Sargeras is imprisoned, Kil’jaeden and Archimonde death. So I wonder where they will go from here… eh, who am I kidding, they’ll be forgotten about for a few more expansions probably.
That maybe but eh, still… even if the story of a setting is poop, I dont see a reason to just bend everything to my liking just because the writers dont give a damn. I find it more compelling to make a story or character work within the sandbox, so to speak. Even if the sandbox is full of dirt.
Does that mean the red baron of silvermoon eliminated all of those people in Redridge in all timelines too
Their ultimate end goal has been achieved. Draenei were in the centre of attention for a long time imo
Not until we all open our hearts to the Light!
sure, right after y’all open your wallets to me
oh sht did i just rp on a forum cringe bro
I mean you just take one look at how magic works in this universe to know that it’s shallow worldbuilding. There’s no magic system whatsoever.
There is still no fundamental explanation for what makes a Warrior either. What makes a stormwind footman a realistic soldier, while the Warrior by his side performs superman-like feats.
Just handwavy explanations about ‘he is angry’. No mechanism. No consistency. No explanation.
It’s so very lazy.
Thats why I always was a fan of low fantasy rp. I know people enjoy having their chads leap 100m forward but it isnt my cup of tea
I agree. Well, mages are mages, but for warriors I much prefer the focus on equipment and martial skill over supernatural powers.
