And yet, it is a lesson which people need to take to heart
I weep powerfully into my Illidan Stormrage body pillow
Go rage on the PTR forum.
Main reason I’m no longer hunting. Yes, I am petty in case someone didn’t notice.
Understandable really
It’s insane that this got fixed and then the fix got fixed
It’s darkly funny that warriors and rogues are able to utilize and show off the ranged weapon idle pose (with some toying around)
Whilst hunters are only client side.
Mage Tower Challenges I don’t look forward to do again :
- The Twins Raem and Karam
The only exception being for Afflilock because of the bug and perma Infernal pet. Kinda hoping that bug is still there but otherwise I have a solid 400+ numbers of attempt on this challenge and nearly half of that was on my Frost Mage.
- The healing one in Blackrook Hold
It’s just not a challenge about healing, let’s be real, even a few of the Mythic raiding acquaintances I had back then said so. If you ain’t DPSing, interrupting and so on, you’re not getting through, the only positive being that you get to use BL twice.
- The return of Kruul
Unless I go DH or Druid which makes it piss easy. Galactic Guardian and Spirit Bomb ftw.
- Xylem’s tower
The simple reason being that no fun specs are the ones pitted against him. I got lucky tbf with him, I played it enough to remember it was a difficult mess but not suffered enough to remember the fight to this day.
The only challenge anyone here can say was ridiculously easy, was the feltotem fight.
I always found that cool, since in Mythic+ dungeons you also need to contribute more than just your healing to be considered good. Otherwise, the dungeon would be completely unviable for less throughput-y classes (or whichever type of healing is required presently).
I’m expecting it to be completely bonkers in tuning since the classes aren’t same any more, no artefact powers, etcetera.
Then again I did all Druid ones and it was easy because I’m a druid wahoo
whaaat naaaah they’ll have it perfectly scaled, 0 doubt
I just wanna get done with them, but I highly doubt I’ll get to finish all of them in a single go. Not getting all T20 recolors or the Spellbook mount.
Just want the druid and DH sets, but also don’t want to experience the tower again… Life.
I begin to powerfully flashback to endless wipes in the last 10% of the fight as warrior.
I think I loved Kruul and Black Rook Hold the most out of Mage Tower fights. They were all so fun and challenging, though I guess I did cheat on Kruul a bit by being a Druid. IIRC Druids had it pretty easy.
Might remember wrong and they had it very hard instead not sure, but that just boosts my ego
I had it easier than other warriors by virtue of having the legendary that allowed me to use heroic leap 3 times. Made quickly jumping to the light orbs very easy when things were going wrong.
Still took me about a hundred attempts though, and I never ended up using the flail appearance anyway.
That fight was just unfair for anything that has no movement speed… But as a warrior you had leaps. What was wrong with you?
Edit : Ah nvm.
Making too many mistakes, mostly. I hadn’t played a prot warior since BC so I was super rusty and the panic was setting in.
The tank challenge isn’t as much a tank challenge as much as it is “do every combat mechanic in the game flawlessly at once” challenge.
Ah yes, the rush of adrenaline when you see Kruul getting below the 5% health mark, seeing red and twitching your mouse to the nearest heal orb and screaming in panic whenever you see Kruul casting his OS ability and needing an interrupt or spell reflect at your disposal.
I genuinely remember my hands shaking so much everytime I got below 10% that I snuffed it just because I accidentally clicked the wrong spot.
Took me 80-ish attempts to beat Kruul on my warrior tank. It was the only challenge I managed to complete.
This fact still deeply upsets me because I had a druid and I didn’t do the challenges for the druid forms
