Is this satisfactory? Personally I just think it’s the bare minimum.

‘Bare minimum’ indeed. I honestly think that the devs think their lacklustre care for the lore extends to the players, when, honestly, I’d happily sacrifice the majority of raid tiers to get some gorramn Lore content that mattered/more cinematics…
Ngl, I wouldn’t wanna see more.
I know Thrall’s story, Draka is one of the least interesting characters in Maldraxxus(or even the Shadowlands)… And I wouldn’t want or need a recap about how Draka died, or another long-winded story about how Thrall is SadOrc 2.0 or w/e
So this is fine, for me, atleast!
Valid point. But we see this ‘Lets go talk… elsewhere’ thing a lot, and it’s sometimes applied to new and/or important stuff. Which… bleh.
If they had a cool cartoon/cinematic like they made for the covenants as a peek into their conversation that could be cool.
But they probably don’t.
In short
No
Worse than it all are all those gutless foreheads who say they love it, applaud to Blizzard
Blizzard trains the playerbase to expect nothing so that slightest bone thrown their way seems praiseworthy.
No wonder the pet peeves channel is basically a FF discussion thread.
Big agree, that is overdone and its something they need/must stop doing!
For the rest, I stand by what I said, Thrall’s story is well known and played out over War3 up until now, so it doesn’t need a recap
And Draka’s story is basicly that she died shortly after giving birth so I doubt thats interesting enough to be worth any cinematic(or short story).
Draka being in the Shadowlands was entirely shaped up for this one moment with Thrall. Now the time has come and they were going to do an off-screen convo before people complained. Now they’ve added bare minimum + let’s talk some more off screen.
The likelihood is it’s voice acted and that costs a lot of money to do, so they don’t want to record much of any to save time and resources. Blizzard doing the least possible for no reason because they’re incompetent alone doesn’t tick the box for me – money concerns does.
Alright who’s with me on this:
The BEST Zone and Story in Shadowlands expansion is Exile’s Reach in nearly all aspects.
That is fact, and not up for debate
It’s the only actual World of Warcraft-y zone so yeah
haven’t even done exile’s reach because i dont want to start a new alt
each new character you make is just a character thrown into the hellhole that is azeroth, im not that sadistic

What I find more fascinating is that all of this would add more character development for Thrall, now that he has a chance to talk things out with his dead mother which is still a lot more than when Turalyon and Alleria returned to Stormwind.
What I mean is that, in itself, should be a heartbreaking moment. We were denied a scene when Turalyon and Alleria came home after so long. Imagine their faces when they found out what happened to Silvermoon or Lordaeron! I mean, it should have been horrifying, right? Your whole people nearly died in genocide by a mad prince bent on resurrecting a dead necromancer, and your kingdom is destroyed only to be populated by the dead! They should be in awe when they walked through the Valley of Heroes but therein lies another problem: Those heroes survived. Imagine if some of them died in Outlands and then Turalyon and Alleria were reminded of them and their sacrifices when they saw their statues in the Valley.
Ngl I’m still pretty salty that my main character who I RP’d for pretty much my entire WoW career from Vanilla through to Warlords, died honourably in a last stand at the Broken Shore.
And for his noble and dedicated service after ten thousand years of life he was finally able to rest, and went directly to super hell.
If they died at the first battle of the broken shore…
uh they would have been sorted like normal
Really? I must have missed that. When was the starting point for souls being diverted?
I’m thinking more along the lines of this talk being intended for an out of game story or exchange that was cancelled. With so much lore shoved into paperbacks instead of their rightful place ingame, it’s not weird that these gaps to fill are actively engineered beforehand.
Case in point.
Roughly around the emerald nightmare raid which is what has the tinfoil crowd saying the red soul missile that short circuited the Arbiter was Xavius.
That seems fairly arbitrary. I’m assuming it’s because of Ysera arriving in Ardenweald.
