Fair enough! to be fair, they can still tinker with the current model and we don’t know what more customisations we’ll get.
Also, hoping for more customisations for other races please. Leper gnomes when?

We know how that usually goes, so I’m not holding my breath.
Yes.
People say the cinematic is boring and we know nothing about the story…I say thank god for that. Gives me hope the story wont be some cosmic b-stuff and we get some way lower tier threat. Also it means the main threat develops in the story and is not told to use right from the start.
Yeah I kinda dig how slow and… vanilla? Not as in classic, just vanilla, it looked.

Deep down, you know the answer.
After now having caught the reveal I give it a very, very cautious pog/10. No painful systems shown so far but I expect them when alpha hits.
I’m feeling cautiously optimistic. Worked on professions and UI is good. The Dragon Riding seems fun, the Evoker spellcasting system seems very interesting too.
Nothing bad. The dragon race looks a bit weird/out of place and I’m a bit reserved for strange retcons, but otherwise yeah I like this more than Shadowlands from just the reveal.
The drip feed of story related things will soon begin

do those guards at the bridge look like Drakonids to you guys too? And Dragonspawn to the right of the bridge.
Guess those’ll be getting updated models too, hopefully throughout the game. Same with the gnolls, gorloc, tuskarr and centaur! They all need the updated models!
Also, so we’ll see Gnolls, Tuskarr, Gorlocs, Centaur, Furbolg etc on the Dragon Isles too! Lots of old Azerothian races atleast
The only thing I have to say about the cinematic other than it’s fine is, up until the dragons appeared, it didn’t look like WoW. Like at all. And that was a massive issue for Shadowlands as a whole.
I hope they don’t go that route with art direction. Otherwise it was fine. Nothing outstanding, nothing terrible.
I dont think it’s the update for drakonids you meet in BWL and elsewhere, like just another dragonkin offshoot, so don’t expect an update to the old models. These you can see use a male draenei skeleton and I can’t remember a single instance of old model update involving a skeleton replacement, though I may be forgetting something.

The subtitle feels strangely jagged, like someone crudely cut out these letters in Photoshop.
I get what they were going for, I just find the execution rather janky.
Looks like cut stone to me
Alright, I’ve had some time to think about it, and while I still don’t like the look of the Drak’thyr (Mainly their human forms, their dragon form looks alright but could be meatier) Maybe we can pull a Vulpera on this and try and contain any degeneracy so the race and its RP can get a good chance.
Still wish we had Ogres though, maybe some day… Maybe some day.
idk, it reminded me fairly immediately of storm peaks/ulduar - the best bit of Wrath.
I hate how Blizzard makes all these new models and then don’t go back to update them.
I bet the Azeroth Gnolls, or Northrend Tuskarr and Gorlocs will also keep using their old models.
Same with WoD ogres and the Azerothian counterparts still using the vanilla models.
:sigh:
Possible, but not necessarily. They did update some generic wolves I believe not too long ago and I think even upped the textures of the… ostriches in Mulgore and Barrens. Generally speaking, if the new and old model share a skeleton, the change is likely. These drakonids are nothing alike, so unlikely.

:sharpens_:
One day, they’ll use their new assets for old junk!
