the fact that when it was added, it was added to Dalaran in the form of a Shenâdralar Highborne who said that they brought many secrets with them back from their isolation, including the art of transmogrification. (And i t was in the same patch that added Night Elf Mages)
Later on, it was given to the Ethereals.
Transmog was added in 4.3 (the Deathwing patch) and the only NPCs connected to it were located in Stormwind and Orgrimmar.

No new Dalaran NPCs added that patch, nor did dalaran get a transmogger until Legion (who is also an ethereal).
To date the only non-Ethereal transmoggers are Mystic Birdhat the grummle, Warpweaver Taâoren the Broker, and apparently this draenei dude added in 10.2.7

, I am confusing transmogging with reforging⌠I couldnât even remeber Reforging, so I think I just automatically assumed it was transmogging that was added alongside the Night Elf Mage class at the end of WoTLK/Start of Cataclysm

At least we get SOME glaives, though limiting then to 1H swords was a big middle finger to Priestesses, AND we still donât have Umbra CrescentsâŚ

Not gonna lie, I can see use in those hats! Those shoulders and belts could be used by Druids⌠And rest of the set can be mix-matched with other sets!
