I think it’s kinda lame that there aren’t any quests to unlock hero talents the way they had for earning your artifact.
Not that you’d be thrilled to unlock Elune’s Chosen on a troll druid, but still. It’d be nice to get something.

So I saw a loading screen while taking a flight path across the Coreway, and I got immediately curious why. My psychic powers told me that the Isle of Dorn and the rest of Khaz Algar were located in different instances. I checked the output of GetInstanceInfo
, and it turned out my hunch was correct.
Flight paths can cross instances — it’s what allows Quel’Thalas (which is on the Outland map) to be connected with the Eastern Kingdoms by flight path — but it entails a loading screen as an instance transfer occurs. The Coreway acts like a loading screen in disguise, just like the entrances to Zaralek Cavern (which is also a separate instance from the Dragon Isles surface). When it comes to flight paths, however, I assume they haven’t updated cross-instance flight path code, so it still incurs a loading screen.
Incidentally, the list of instance IDs is a goldmine. Since they’re assigned sequentially, it gives you a rough idea of which zones were developed in parallel. For example, it seems the development of Zandalar and Kul Tiras for 8.0 began before 7.0 was even out.

Theology? In my Warcraft? That isn’t just “everything is robots”? that also subtly reinforces the older lore of different Holy Orders having completely different means and mentions again how Stormwind/the Alliance is much more spiritual/faithful with its application of the Light?
You know, I know the Horde needed some representation too ofcourse, but why didn’t Kurdran Wildhammer, from a Clan of lightning magic using Gryphon Riders, that has experience with Stormrooks (Valdrakken quest) help the new Stormriders? (EDIT: I continued with the campaign and Kurdran does show up with the Wildhammers at Dhar Otzan to help the Stormriders )
I wish the Earthen and various Dwarven Clans had more proper interaction tbf.
Then again, I’m probably gonna be like this in Midnight too, why didn’t this or that blood elf help such or so, why did it have to be a human/night elf/void elf/high elf instead?
Edit: On a side note, if King Danath Trollbane of Stromgarde doesn’t end up in Hallowfall speaking with the Arathi I’m gonnna scream!
Nice to see the eye of N’Zoth getting some attention at last, but… kinda expected more from a matter that’d be crucial IC. https://www.wowhead.com/news/xalatath-special-whispers-to-shadow-priests-campaign-chapter-5-spoilers-346411
Liadrin repping people desperately trying make the world smaller by fitting lore and powers into excel spreadsheets while the other guy just smiles and says “it’s magic, man”. I love it.
when the eye of n’zoth didn’t matter for the n’zoth patch it was really kind of the harbinger of them overpromising, so not too surprised.
That said I think I do still have the eye on my priest.
Alliance expansion confirmed.
Tyrande gonna post her ships near Ghostlands again and say this time they’re there to help with w/e threat the Sunwell inevitably is going to face, as repaying of old debts.
sighs
“Quel’thalas”, Liadrin?
It’s Quel’Thalas!
I mean the aforementioned debt to the Arathi had been repayed during the Second War, so I was just wondering what debt she was talking about towards these new Arathi?
Unless the High Elven debt to the Lothar-family/Arathi Empire can never be repayed in full, which means they now have to share the debt between Stromgarde(as original capital of the Arathi Empire), the overseas’ Arathi Empire(or hallowfall in this case) and/or Faerin Lothar, I suppose?
The debt of trashing the highlands during the Warzone in BfA.
Liadrin is whatever the plot needs a blood elf representative to be with the Light daubed over it.
Which is unfortunate.
Maybe they were supposed to be part of a “Light bad” direction the previous team seemed to be peddling, until Metzen put a halt on that?
