The Dark Irons stopped charging after Dagran got old enough to complain.
Not after how they were in Undermine.

theyâre goblins, offer them enough gold and theyâll do whatever
end all life? how much gold you got?
Grimla Fizzlecrank is the head of the Undermine branch of the Venture Company. Theyâre a rather unique goblin cartel, in that they donât have a trade prince. Mogul Razdunk came close as the company president, but he never got to wield the full authority of a trade prince.
What this means is that the worldâs full of Venture Company branches that may or may not care about the direction that Grimla Fizzlecrank wants to push the company in.
So, thereâs always going to be a chance of running into a Venture Company operation thatâs cutting down an ancient druidic forest or some nonsense, that weâll have to stop. Theyâre an evergreen minor antagonist, with a much better explanation for why theyâll always be around than the likes of the Scarlet Crusade.
I keep telling you people, that the Scarlet Crusade is a species of moss that keeps budding!
Venture Co. is a Franchise ![]()
I have been watching the Lothraxion and Voidstorm quests, and I find them⌠good? They were very engaging, and while the Domanaar are clearly evil, siding with them is a neessary evil, so-to-speak, it looks like standard Blizzard narrative: I donât mind it.
As for Lothraxion, I felt bad we had to kill him, but I suppose that is how the game wants us to feel. So, a good narrative imho.
(i also believe whatever original plans Blizz had about him ended up being discarded, because in Legion he was the least zealous type of lightforged, and even encouraged Alleria to seek out Locus-Walker)
Also, on a personal level, I find myself disagreeing a lot with the people who are complaining about the aesthetics of Survival.
Most of the settingâs iconic hunters are all elves, the hunter order hall revolves around elves, two out of the three hero talent specialisations are elf-based and in general, the entire class is dominated by elf shenanigans.
So when I hear people complain about the upcoming Survival changes and that their elven characters donât feel very elven when they sling bombs around and blast people with shotguns, I canât help but feel like maybe they should play one of the other two thirds of the class which align perfectly with the fantasy of playing an elven ranger instead.
Itâs not like most hunters even touch Survival so please, Blizzard, let the gunpowder hunters keep this tiny, wretched crumb of class fantasy, at the very least.
There is a lot of emphasis on the Sunwell acting âaggressivelyâ as a byproduct of it keeping the Voidstorm at bay, which leads to nearby Lightwielders acting aggressively as well. I think itâs more that rather than Blizzard deliberately rewriting him. Turalyon is portrayed as a giant backdoor, too. And one of the raid encounters in the Voidspire is us fighting three âLightblindedâ lieutenants of the Vanguard of the Light.
What I am curious about is whether they intend to stick with him being a double-agent for Denathrius or not. Lothraxion sort of addresses this - the logic being that the Lightâs influence overpowered whatever original loyalties he once had. Which kind of makes sense, but it also makes sense for a Dreadlord to lie, so⌠weâll see, I guess.
I am still not sure why they aggrassivly push this idea that Rexxar is a survival poster boy.
Nothing about the spec is Rexxar coded.
Oh but Rexxar is a melee hunter - No he is most certianly not, he used throwing axes, THROWING axes.
You know who could be a survival hunter icon? Nathanos.
He is the type to throw bombs, blast you with a shotgun and hold his own in a melee, with or without a pet.
Rexxar is THE Beastmaster. I am tired of thia gaslighting, in WC3 he was SUMMON ALL THE BEASTS, he even is in HotS, Im pretty sure thatâs a huge Hunter Gimmick in Hearthstone too!
Beast. Master. Should. Be. Melee!
And all specs should have glyphs to fit player fantasy better!!
Beastmaster should fight with their pack of beasts, in melee.
Survival should be the trapper, prepper predator who stealths in camo, takes you down from afar with a bow (or throwing weapons, bring them back please) and ambush you with traps.
Marksman should be your magic archer/gunner/hunter DnD stand in, pet and all.
Iâd prefer to have a minor antagonist faction in the lore over just adding some more people to a Horde orc clan thatâs enjoying the armistice between the factions.
Especially since this specific minor faction is pretty much the only remnant of Warcraft 2 Horde.

Apparently, the Naaru tried to recruit Illidan to fight the Void.
I donât really see how this makes sense chronologically considering we saw Illidan murder Xeâra minutes after the Lightâs Heart was returned to her. As far as we know, she was not able to resume her full-form before that and this was their first meeting, though I suppose she was able to communicate with people through visions like we did. But how would Allari be able to see their conversation?
We know thereâs another Xeâra in the Draenor timeline, but it probably makes more sense that this is a mistake.
Or wait, is this from the Illidan novel?
My Lord the great country of United Kingdom has blocked Imgur.
I think its meant to be a reference to the Illidan novel but its a bitâŚdisjointed.
Well said.
Sorry, melee hunter sucks. Itâs always sucked. BM is fine how it is.
Just use a Tor Browser man. Brave has an option like that without you doing more than a click.
The Yookay isnât a real country btw.
Lets compromise and restore the hunters ability to do both?
You mean remove the deadzone so it switches to melee with x metres and range otherwise? Yeah that could work.
It was silly it was removed anyway.
Then they can restore all the weapons out animations whilst their at it. This âIâm going to stand here with my hands clawed like an upset crabâ for casters can really, really go away. I want my dagger out.
Xeâra does have a whole psychic conversation/vision injection with Illidan. We donât know the exact details of what Illidan received from Xeâra, only his impression of it afterward: Xeâra tried to make him her chosen one, the other Naaru also received it, Aâdal said âNah, Iâm killing him todayâ and Illidan rejected it.
Good ol Addy.
