Well I liked the Endsinger in FFXIV, so maybe there’s hope.
DHs getting a crumb of attention in the next patch be looking like salivating dogs in front of reverse seared steak.
I hope it’s just a class skin honestly - the first of many to come.
Putting devtime into an entire new spec only for it to be melee DPS again feels like they should be spending their time better.
Another SP rework.
Surely this rework will be a rework to end all the reworks…?
I will believe it whwn i see it. I am interested to see what will they do with brewmaster, however.
I was worried for a moment but then they mentioned that, yet again, the threat of this patch is the destruction of Azeroth. Almost felt like we were just helping the ethereals out of the kindness if our hearts for a moment there, phew!
chat, we’re getting lean emotes

We’re so back
I wish they Unholy DK changes were also a bit more thematic. Largely the Hero Talents are supposed to be YOUR power. YOU got stronger. But for Unholy DK, that’s not the case. You just get the aid of the Horsemen, that’s not your strength.
The Horsemen should be replaced by 4 Greater Undead. Like a Lich, a Valkyr, one of those big beefy Vrykul Undead like Ingvar, and a bone-dude like Marrowgar. Picture that appearing every time you used your Abomination. Alas. I shall just keep dreaming.
I for one am excited and wish to post against the prevailing opinion here.
I think it’s way too early to judge. No story in the history of fiction has ever been good when judged purely on the cover (or in this case, advertising) or data-mined material alone. It’s about the experience of actually playing it.
Shadowlands wasn’t a good sum of its parts, but parts of it were good, and the Brokers were part of the good. With so many similarities in terms of culture, technology, and aesthetics with the Ethereals, it’d be highly unlikely for them not to be connected to them in some way.
Shadowlands happened, and it’s way better to acknowledge it and build upon what was good there, than to pretend it never happened at all. In life as in storytelling, you have to acknowledge and integrate your mistakes. I say this as someone who quit because that expansion was a bit naff.
Treating anything even tangentially related to Shadowlands as complete anathema just isn’t a sustainable coping strategy.
Believe what you wish to believe, but the story of the First Ones, characters and plot threads introduced in this expansion are probably going to be relevant going forwards.
No game can be perfect over the course of twenty years. As someone with experience in Game Development I can tell that Blizzard - a team of many, real and likely overworked people, seem to be genuinely trying very hard here to create an authentic homage to Netherstorm from TBC. I think it’s worth appreciating their efforts.
By all means critique what they put out, but I’d do so when it’s ready.

No confirmation of this yet, it could be fake, but I find it amusing nonetheless.
my lament is that its boss music will not go as hard as endsinger’s did alas. (Invincible reigns supreme.)
I don’t think that need be seen as “This was my Master plan all along!” because her reaction seemed genuine when Alleria cracked it, and when she found out Gallywix just willy nilly handed it off.
I think (and hope) it’s painted as her being more opportunist, making use of what could briefly benefit her to get things back on track to corrupt Azeroth.
The Kerriganing of Xal’atath begins…
What do you mean? Most tanks have two dps/one tank specs available. And the last spec invented entirely was Aug for Evoker which is decidedly a ranged spec.
Perhaps I was to harsh! Perhaps this wil the best patch ever against all odds!
Ngl, I prefer this, though??? Shadowlands isn’t worth salvaging or mentioning and they should stop do that.
Yea, great the Brokers are one of the least worst things to come out of the Shadowlands. But that expansion in general is so badly looked upon for what it did to the lore and characters that the best thing Blizzard could do was ignore it in its entirety, instead of trying to shove it down people’s throat.
Or you could critique it before its released so Blizzard atleast has a chance to change for the better(like when they introduced Tauren and Orc Priests, etc)
Edit
Not saying you’re wrong or anything, and like many I love to critique blizzard beforehand when usually its not as bad as snippets of datamining makes it sound, but Blizzards current trackrecord with TWW is already all over the place, so this does not fill me with any positivity.
Ngl, Fel Elekks, new Headless Horseman and the rest of the mounts all look pretty awesome and usable for alot of characters!(Eredar, Death Knights, Demon Hunter, Warlocks, etc!)
Babe, it´s 4 PM, time for your rework.
The Paladin and Druid tier slap so gosh darn hard.
Overall a lot of the sets are pretty damn solid imho. Kiiiinda wish there’d be a non-glowing warrior version for totally unbiased reasons, but c’est la vie.
Dunno if anyone else linked 'em, so
The Devoker Scalecommander set calling in THE SQUAD, potentially beam, ing down 7 targets
The Flameshaper one basically becoming Oppenheimer 2.0.
Evokers are eating well.
