PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 4)

Ah yes, the classic interior decor of nightborne starvation cages. Really ties the room together.

Put pets in it, make a good lab or arcane research facility.
So it might tie a room together

I’d double down and finally have my own Silvermoon tailor sweatshop.

Azeroth facing one of the largest Void-crisis in the history of Azeroth.

Tyr: “I sleep.”

Something tells me they’re gonna have him sleep until the Last Titan, because if they don’t bring him out for that, we might aswell not have bothered bringing the guy back.

This coming from a Silver Hand rp’er who’s character’s been feeling all kinds of strange upon hearing the literal being whose emblem he wears , whose stories he grew up on, and whom his Order is named after, walks Azeroth again.

Yeah they’ll use him for Midnight or the Last Titan… and make him evil

You’re on thin ice there, buddy :dagger:

That’s the key point, and I agree.

The writers don’t treat the setting as a world populated by people with agencies and motivations. They treat it as a kid treats a toy box, from which they can take the Fyrakk action figure and the Turalyon action figure and slam them together while making grr grr and whoosh whoosh noises.

Still, in spite of its many weaknesses, it looks like it will be a fun patch!

I feel like parts of Shadowlands were intended as a Planescape: Torment homage at one point.

I’m kinda sad that game will never be remade, preferably with combat that’s actually fun.

Draenei eschatology relevant again? Oh joy.

Ngl, the addition of new Heartstones always is fun!

So we have post toys, a postman cloth set, post pets, postmaster title and now a post hearthstone.

I think its time I make a post man cryptid style character.

Wait what didn’t we just do the “infinite soul army” trope in Shadowlands?

I don’t remember any plot in the Maw about the Void but okay.

The Void fears having to grind Torghast long past the point of it being at all fun and also having to run around unmounted because you just know that the Void is not playing druid.

Scratching my head trying to think about what the implication could even be. There’s nothing even void-related within the Maw or its adjacent areas and zones. Fears the Jailer??? The guy who managed to get slapped by 20 mortals even though he had Ultimate Uber Leet God Hackz??? A grey filter??? Non-euclidean geometry???

My guess is it’s the Devourers the Void fears, since they show up in 11.2 too and their origins are mysterious and not definitively from the Shadowlands (the place, not the expac). Leaves the door open for it to be expanded as a bigger threat that some people theorised about.

…though they weren’t really a big part of the Maw until Korthia. /shrug

I could be wrong but my understanding of the Devourers is just that they consume everything until it doesn’t exist. But that’s also… literally what they say the Void wants for the universe in this questline.

Maybe they fear the Devourers doing it better than them and don’t wanna lose their seat as the biggest of bads.

There’s always a bigger fish.

What do the devourers fear?

Remember when the biggest evil was just a giant Demon Titan Dude with a Massive Flaming Sword and a never-ending Demon Army?

I still consider him a major threat, we think he was contained by Illidan and the other titans but I choose to headcanon that they drew him there only for them to get utterly wrecked.

But we’ll see in Last Titan I suppose.

A “you think I’m locked in here with you” kind of situation.
