Dear everyone,
I accidentally bought WoW for the wrong region. I do NOT insist for a refund. I only want my The War Within (pre)purchase (Epic edition) to be applied to my EU account, NOT US.
I don’t know why was it automatically like that when I never played on US servers. That means I would agree that it can be removed from my US account but applied to EU.
I did not claim anything from my purchase (didn’t log in or play, didn’t claim character boost or a mount etc.), it is intact. I have no one to play with on US servers, everything I have is on EU (Hellscream#1388 Stormscale EU).
I tried refunding it, but was unable to (it wasn’t on a refundable list) and got a automated response to my email.
Thanks in advance, your Hellscream! D:
You will need to open a ticket about it for a refund, it cannot be moved across regions. It also depends on how long ago you bought it.
Didn’t the fact you paid in Dollars give you a clue? I would guess you tried to buy it cheaply and made a mistake. Do not do a chargeback, your account will be locked.

I bought it yesterday. It was the price I was familiar with (89 dollars / euros), so I did make a mistake by not seeing that the currency is in US dollars and immediately wrote a ticket - unfortunately I got an incomplete automated response.
Then just reply to the ticket and ask for a manager/Senior CM to look at it.
Did you check the US refund page? They are different to the EU one.

Yes, I saw there was a difference between EU and Americas. It doesnt appear on the ‘‘refund list’’. I appriciate your answer and will be patient since I act in good faith and really wish to play Dragonflight and War Within when it comes.
Hi Hellscreamkv,
I had a look into this and can see it was already resolved by now and your refund is on the way.
Feel free to make the purchase again for your EU account whenever you get a chance!

Dear ,
I have the impression that this happens to a lot of people.
I have exactly the same issue with buying the heroic edition.
I started from the battle.net app on my desktop and somehow(although I have no US account) I arrived on the us platform.
I bought the game, not paying attention and after playing my character for a few days(till lvl 60) I noticed something was wrong, I could no longer earn XP and was unable to enter the dragon isles.
It was than I checked and noticed I had the expansion registered in America and not the European region.
I created a ticket and got also an automated response with the link to the refund pages.
When clicking that I arrive on the eu.battle.net where my subscription is available for refund, but not the expansion.
I responded, but haven’t received an answer since.(this is about 2 days ago)
It is ticket EU94154341.
I also created a ticket on the us page, with ticket : US98457035 ,but got the same answer and the expansion is not appearing in the refund options.
I cancelled the ticket as not getting answers after 24 hours and created a new one (US98481562)asking to get help as the refund option is not available.
This was probably not the best action, but I’m trying to avoid falling out of terms as stipulated in the refund terms and conditions.
Next time I will pay more attention, but for now if anyone can help me resolve this problem, it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in avance,

I’m not sure you will get a refund if you’ve played it that much … but try Puny’s link.
If that doesn’t work just keep your ticket open. Tickets are taking a while so don’t cancel another one as that puts you at the end of the queue again.

I haven’t played the US version, but the europe version as I only have a European account.
And the profile in europe is still shadowlands, not dragonflight.
Thanks allready for the feedback, I’ll keep both tickets open in hope it gets solved.

Don’t ever do this, You just end up at the back of the queue.
Didn’t paying in Dollars give you a hint you were in the wrong place?
Not really, as I stopped playing a long time ago(beginning of pandaria, I think) and just wanted to try the game again.
I thought maybe that was the new way, I also had to download the new authenticator and the launcher, so it was all new to me.
My idea, may be this was blizzards new way of transaction.
But you are right, I’ll pay better attention next time.
Sweet, Blizzard took action and said that they would refund the amount paid for the expansion.
Thanks everybody for their help and support.

You may have bought it some time ago. I’m sure they didn’t give that reply and gave you the actual valid reasons in the ticket, probably that the gametime was added straight away, even if you didn’t use any of it.
If it was recently there is a page where you can do your own refund.
