Playing video games, or indeed anything that doesn’t improve your health or earn money is time wasted by this definition, humans place a lot of value on “fun”.

You look at all timed. That is wrong with your logic.
I am in none of both the percentages you just copy pasted. But i have timed already an 11 and i am running 11’s.
No its not wrong. If you cant time it you are not made for the key level so you are not in the %. So less then 5% of the Players pushing over +10 keys is correct
And they are counting Chars not Accounts so these numbers are even lower
It is not correct. I have timed already +11 even.
But i am not sure why you do ignore people who attempt +11’s. They are running those keylevels and are having fun.
You only want to calculate people who have timed all +11’s. Those aren’t the only keypushers.
This seems to display a typical pattern of something getting harder, and fewer people being able to do it.
I’m sure if I looked at rifts in diablo 3, I’d see a similar pyramid effect as the level went up.
This doesn’t make it pointless, it just means that an infinitely scaling thing, is in fact, infinitely scaling.

No i am not the top 5% and i am running 11’s. Exactly my point. You claim only 5% is pushing keys. I am happy you slowly find out your logic is off.

This is the answer and something that the OP doesn’t take into consideration.
Some people like to see their rating rise just for the sake of it. The reward is the rating.
Me personally see no point in that and I push up to 10 for portals and gear, but people like different things.
Not sure why he decided to make a post about this but hey, maybe he’s lonely.

I can say anything about antoher persons progress. Is that what you all want with RaiderIo Warcraftlogs. Fact is he has 627Gs, Fact is he got one 11 Timed. Fact is he is not in the top 5%. See no problem with it.

These are all facts. Not that i have runned yet 1 dungeon with 627, since i got 2 ilvl last sunday by using my overflowed runned crests (still not at the cap). My ilvl quite skyrocketed in the last ~2 weeks 
I will be fine. I will get more 11’s timed and will run some 12’s in the future.
But the other fact is; you claim only 5% is running higher keys than +10. While i am not in your 5% and i am running higher keys.
