Can a sub be put on hold then reactivated at a later date?
So for instance I currently have about 2.5 months left.
Can I fling it on hold until DF prepatch then use that 2.5 then.
The No LFR Fated mount killed any interest I had in playing now

Step 1: Log into your battle net account.
Step 2: Game & Subsricptions.
Step 3: Cancel subscription.
Step 4: Re subscribe when you wish to play again.

Unfortunately there is no way to put a sub on hold. Only to cancel and resub later.

Being able to put subscription on hold wouldnt actually make that much sense as you get a discount when you buy a subscription for multiple months. You get a discount so it seems more attractive to buy 6 months than to just buy 1, but that alos means that you are gonna stick with a game for longer.
Being able to pause it would be a neat option though.

But to answer the OP, no, there isn’t an option to pause your current subscription and bank the time for a later moment.
That would kind of beat the purpose of why they’re selling you a 6 month sub.

It was intended for blizz to get that last guys that like lfr to sub day before patch, when they got that subs they change it so they can buy a token for carry also, dubble money for blizz.
Blizz is smart but it’s the truth.
Sorry but when you subscribe. And click the final button and that money leaves your bank account. You’ve already bought for a month (Or months in your case) You will keep doing so until you hit cancel. There is no pause or save for later option I’m afraid.
Putting a subscription on hold is ridiculous tbh. I can see it from a normal perspective, but you just know it’ll be abused where people pause their sub for a weekend here and a day there.
Putting a time limit on this also would just make things even more complicated.
Just don’t sub for long periods of time if you’re not sure you are gonna play for that long. Some self control is nice to have.

They can really do some things to make it better for players .ffxiv lets you sub for one month for same price per month as 6 months sub per month will cost .the only limitation is you can have 8 characters and not 40 which is more then enough for almost 90 percent of subscribers on ffxiv
Sure more sub options would be nice.

If you did this you could just keep pausing between play sessions and make 3 months last about 5. Blizzard would never do this no sane company ever would

They could limit it.
Once every 12 months you can pause a sub for up to x days or something to that effect.
