Something I put together over a couple hours that would make this spec a blast to play.
Bringing back some Draenor flavor, which was the only expansion I played, but happened to be the perfect time to play Hunter.
With this toolkit, everyone will be dying (more like living) to have you close by.
It contains answers to all situations a hunter might find themselves in.
Doubt anyone except diehard Survivalists will read through all of it, so I put a few highlights at the top.
Spearhead
10-53 yd range
2 min cooldown
You and your pet charge your enemy, impaling your weapon and pushing them back a further 10 yds, making them fall to the ground and incapacitating for 2 sec. Will stun the target for 2.5 sec instead if they connect with an obstacle. Crowd control from this ability will not impact diminishing returns.
The target will bleed for 100% attack power over 8 sec, and will concuss them, causing 20% reduced damage and healing output for 5 sec after crowd control ends.
Spearhead is not on the global cooldown.
Intimidation
53 yd range from pet
1 min cooldown
Sends your pet in a blood-crazed fury, stunning the target for 5 sec. Usable while crowd-controlled, and removes and grants immunity to crowd control on your pet for 7 sec. Your pet deals 15% increased damage for 7 sec.
Requires line of sight from either you or your pet.
Intimidation is not on the global cooldown.
Haste
Base Haste rating increased to 30% for all classes.
Lots of Haste is needed to make this game feel fluid. Having low haste at the start of an expansion makes PvP incredibly sluggish.
Low haste makes playing a zug zug that deals a lot of easy damage in 3 globals much stronger than someone that has to react appropriately and kite away. DoT classes also ramp up faster with more haste.
Since Blizzard suddenly put a global cooldown on everything, it has lowered the skill ceiling drastically.
Paladin bubble on GCD? Even I think that’s absurd.
Mastery: Spirit Bond
While your pet is active, you both regenerate 2% of maximum health every 3 sec.
You will both will be healed for 5% of all damage taken by you or your pet over 10 sec.
Passive: Enduring Survivalist
Killing an enemy restores 15% of your maximum health over 10 sec.
Mongoose Bite
8 yd range
1.5 min cooldown
20-100 focus
Invokes the Aspect of the Mongoose to viciously bite and tear at the target for 100%-300% attack power over 3.5 sec. Depletes all focus over its duration. The Aspect does not prevent you from casting other spells, and will not be hindered by crowd controlling effects.
If your target gets out of range while channeling, the Aspect will gnaw and chew at any other enemy you target.
While channeling and for 10 sec afterwards, the Aspect grants you 25% leech.
Aspects have their own 1 sec global cooldown.
Aspect of the Pack
1.2 min cooldown
Increases the movement speed of all allies within 25 yds by 40% for 6 sec.
Mail armor
Increases stamina by an additional 20%.
Reduces damage taken by ranged attacks by an additional 15%.
Mail is imbued with magical protection, reducing damage taken from magical attacks by an additional 15% and causes Magical and Curse effects to have a 20% shorter duration on you.
Mail has been the worst armor type for a while now, and it feels like we’re made of paper. The 3 mail users in the game are the squishiest I can think of. It does not make sense thematically.
This becomes very apparent when you play Solo Shuffle, where the aim is to run down the weakest link.
Binding Shot

Fires a magical arrow from your crossbow at the target location for 10 sec, tethering any enemies that come within 5 yds of the arrow and stunning them for 3 sec if they break the tether.
Binding Shot is not on the global cooldown.
Coordinated Assault
43 yd range
2 min cooldown
You and your pet charge your enemy, striking them for 100% attack power and granting you both 25% damage reduction and 25% chance to parry for 7 sec.
Resets the cooldown on disengage, and increases the force of Disengage by 20% for 12 sec.
While leaping with Enhanced Disengage, you are immune to crowd control and forced movement effects.
Counterattack
8 yd range
15 focus
Bypass the target’s defenses, dealing 200% attack power, ignoring armor and inflicting a wound which deals 70% attack power in Bleed damage over 15 sec, and increasing your haste by 5% for 5 sec.
Can only be used after you successfully parry an attack, and has to be used within 1.5 sec.
Cannot be parried, dodged or blocked.
Counterattack is not on the global cooldown.
A Murder of Crows

2.5 min cooldown
Send an enormous swarm of crows at your target, dealing 300% attack power over 15 sec, increasing the damage of your bleeds and poisons on them by 10%, and reducing their chance to hit with auto attacks by 50%.
Wildfire Bomb
43 yd range

Max 2 charges
Lob a bomb at the target, exploding in a 5 yd radius and 5 yds behind your target at a 45° angle, dealing 150% attack power in Fire damage instantly, another 100% over 6 sec, and coating them in pheromones, shrapnel, and poison for 9 sec.
Kill Command causes your pet to cleave all nearby enemies coated in pheromones and apply a 20-30% attack power bleed over 14 sec, damage ramping up over time. Pheromones increase you and your pet’s attack speed by 10%.
Poisoned enemies suffer 30% attack power in Nature damage over 10 sec, and take 20% more damage from your Serpent Sting.
Butchery and Raptor Strike also apply Internal Bleeding, causing a 20% attack power Bleed over 10 sec.
Casting Wildfire Bomb does not override DoT effects from a previous bomb.
Aspect of the Fox
4 min cooldown
Allows the use of movement while casting for all allies within 60 yds for 12 sec. Decreases area of effect damage taken by 20% for the duration.
If any ally is helped by this effect, they will be unable to benefit from Aspect of the Fox again for 3 min.
Aspects have their own 1 sec global cooldown.
This ability will ensure at least 2 Hunters in a raid.
Passive: Rugged Survivalist
Critical strikes will deal a maximum of 130% base damage against you and your pet.
Because the RNG in this game is way over the top. E-sports ready, bois.
Something similar could be applied to all classes.
Aspect of the Wild
2 min cooldown
Increases the focus regeneration rate for you, your pet and other Hunters and their pets within 100 yds by 30% for 10 sec.
Because hunting together is fun.
Passive: Beast Guardian
While you remain within 10 yds, your pet and ally Hunter pets take 15% less damage from all sources.
Passive: Master’s Longing
While your pet is further away than 43 yds, it gains 120% movement speed while traveling towards you until it reaches 43 yds, and for 10 sec after.
Aspect of the Cheetah
1.3 min cooldown
Increases your movement speed by 90% for 5 sec, and then by 30% for another 10 sec.
For 5 seconds, you cannot be slowed beyond 90% of your base movement speed.
While this spell is off cooldown, you passively have 20% increased movement speed. The off cooldown effect does not stack with Pathfinding.
Aspect of the Marlin
2 min cooldown
40 focus
Increase swim speed by 100% for 30 sec.
Passive: Grants you 100% longer breath while underwater.
Aspect of the Chameleon
2.5 min cooldown
Become untrackable, and reduce the range at which enemies can detect you and your pet in Camouflage to 3 yds for 1 min.
Aspect of the Monkey
2 min cooldown
Increases you and your pet’s chance to dodge by 25% for 7 sec.
Compare this to Blur, which is 1 min cd, 80-90% dodge from all directions, and you understand how broken that class is.
Aspect of the Eagle
1 min cooldown
Increases the range of your Raptor Strike to 43 yds for 15 sec.
While active, Raptor Strike has a 20% chance to fling an Arctic Bola at your target, dealing 80% of base damage and chaining to 4 other targets, creating a tether that will pull them towards one another at 30% movement force for 3 sec.
Grants 3% chance to dodge after every cast of Raptor Strike while active, stacking up to 12%.
Arctic Bola does not break crowd control!
Aspect of the Turtle
2.5 min recharge
Max 2 charges
Reduces damage taken by 40% for 8 sec, reducing by 5% every sec.
Castable while affected by crowd control.
Deterrence
3 min recharge
Max 2 charges
Deflects all attacks, and reduces damage taken by 30% for 5 sec.
Able to deflect attacks which are already cast but has not yet connected.
Removes all diseases and curses affecting you.
Castable while affected by crowd control.
Deterrence is not on the global cooldown.
Mending Bandage
15 yd range
1 min cooldown
Removes all bleeds, poisons and diseases affecting the friendly target, and heals for 25% of maximum health over 6 sec. If cast on an ally, heal for 30% of maximum health over the duration instead.
Channel is broken by being hit with an interrupt or taking 10% of your or the target’s maximum health in direct damage.
Mending Bandage is not on the global cooldown.
Aspect of the Beast
5 min cooldown
Partially become one with your pet, gaining access to its senses for 30 seconds. During this time you can see tracks and see scent trails, leading you easily to prey that was recently nearby.
Feign Death
25 sec cooldown
Pretend to trip on your sword, tricking enemies into ignoring you for 6 min.
Removes all slows, roots and magical effects affecting you.
Decreases damage taken by 90% for 1.5 sec.
Removing magical effects will not cause you to suffer from dispel protections.
Raptor Strike
8 yd range
30 focus
Deals 70-100-150-200-250-300% attack power each strike, cycling up and down until it reaches 70% again. Starts at and will reset to 150% base damage after not being used for 10 sec.
For each strike, you gain 3% chance to parry, up to a maximum of 12%.
If cast with Aspect of the Eagle, increases chance to dodge by 3% instead, up to a maximum of 12%.
Muzzle
8 yd range
15 sec cooldown
Prevents spellcasting in the interrupted school for 4 sec.
Hunter’s Mark
100 yd range
Places the Hunter’s Mark on the enemy, making them visible and trackable by you for 45 sec. Decreases damage taken from the enemy by 3%.
Has a 0.7 sec global cooldown.
Glaive Toss
43 yd range

30 sec cooldown
Toss a pair of glaives at your target, slowing them by 60% for 3 sec and then returning to you. The glaives will hit and slow all targets in its path.
Black Arrow

Fires a Black Arrow from your crossbow at the target, dealing 100-200% attack power in Shadow damage over 20 sec, damage ramping up over time. The arrow pulses damage in a 7 yd radius every 2.5 sec.
Every time Black Arrow deals damage, it has a 17.5% chance of granting you Lock and Load, making Kill Shot usable on any target and deal 120% base damage.
Kill Shot will hit up to 4 targets while Lock and Load is active, and cause them to bleed for 150% attack power over 10 sec.
Every time Black Arrow deals damage, it restores 2 focus.
If Black Arrow is dispelled, the cooldown is reset, and its focus cost is reduced by 50%. When Black Arrow expires or an enemy dies, it explodes in a 7 yd radius and spreads to 2 nearby enemies at 50% duration and 10% chance per tick of granting Lock and Load. Further spreads reduce the maximum duration and proc chance of Black Arrow.
Area damage will not break crowd control.
Increases Shadow damage taken by 3%.
Wailing Arrow

Fire a lightning fast arrow at your target, instantly dealing 100% attack power in Shadow damage, and silencing them for 2 sec. Castable while moving.
Arcane Shot

20 sec cooldown
Fires an Arcane Shot at 3 enemies, dealing 120% attack power and reducing the magical damage they deal to you by 15% for 5 sec. Ignores magical shields.
Frost Shot
Replaces Concussive Shot

Shoots a Frost-imbued bolt at your target, exploding in a 3 yd radius, dealing 10% attack power in Frost damage and reducing targets’ movement speed by 50% for 6 sec.
Increases targets’ Frost damage taken by 5% for 20 sec.
Casting this on a target incapacitated or recently incapacitated by Freezing Trap extends the duration of Frost Shot by 2 sec, and increases the slow effect to 60%.
Consecutive Frost Shots on this target will keep the slow effect at 60%.
The damage of this ability will not break crowd control.
Tranquilizing Shot

Purges a magical and an Enrage effect from your target. Reduces the duration of all other purgeable effects by 2 sec.
Explosive Trap/Immolation Trap

Kneel down and put an Explosive Trap in front of you, making a big explosion when an enemy triggers it and knock them away 10 yds.
Targets hit will burn for 50% of attack power over 6 sec, cauterizing their wounds, expiring and dealing an additional 30% of all their bleeds’ damage over time effects instantly.
Fire will continue to scorch the ground in a 7 yd radius for 10 sec.
If affected by your Tar Trap, the damage will be increased to 70% attack power, duration increased by 5 sec, and radius increased to 8 yds.
Explosive Trap can be modified into Immolation Trap, omitting the knockback effect.
Increases Fire damage taken by 5%.
Traps have their own global cooldown of 2 sec.
Snake Trap

Places a trap in front of you that releases a myriad of slow-moving snakes when triggered, rooting all targets within 12 yds for 2.5 sec, and reducing their movement speed by 70% after, reducing by 10% every 0.5 sec.
The root does not break on damage and does not affect diminishing returns.
Snakes will poison enemies for 30%-100% attack power in Nature damage over 10-30 sec. Duration and damage increased for each second they remain within the snakes’ melee range.
Snake venom causes Mortal Wounds for 7 sec at 15% effectiveness.
Increases Nature damage taken by 5% for the duration.
Tar Trap

Place a trap in front of you that is armed with a seismic-sensitive trigger, unleashing a pool of tar for 15 sec when any enemy comes within 15 yds of its location. Enemies within have movement speed slowed by 50% and movement effects such as leaps and charges will be affected by the slow.
Trap will exists for 1.5 minutes.
Steel Trap
43 yd range
5 yd proximity trigger
25 sec cooldown
Places a gigantic Steel Trap in front of you, rooting the first enemy to step into it for 8 sec, and causing them to bleed for 160% attack power over 20 sec.
Trap will break on 10% of target’s maximum health dealt from other sources than Steel Trap. If they manage to escape the trap by themselves, your pet goes for the target’s weak spot, crippling movement speed by 60% for 5 sec.
Your pet’s basic attack will never break Steel Trap.
Reduces healing received by 30% and damage done by 20% while rooted.
Trap will prioritize players.
Freezing Trap

Places a frost trap in front of you that will incapacitate the first enemy hit for 6.5 sec.
Only Hunters can break the trap with Shattering Shot.
Trap will prioritize players.
Shattering Shot

Instantly breaks a Freezing Trap.
Is not on the global cooldown.
Passive: Trap Launcher
Makes your traps launchable up to a distance of 43 yds.
Flare

Illuminates the area, revealing all stealthed and invisible enemies for 20 sec.
If cast on your Tar Trap, causes an explosion, coating all targets in Sticky Tar, reducing their casting speed by 10% and movement speed by 50%, additionally burning for 50% attack power in Fire damage for the duration they remain within and for 5 sec after.
Kill Shot
Usable with any weapon equipped

Fire a deadly bolt with your two-headed crossbow, hitting your target and another unlucky enemy for 200%/80% attack power. Only usable on targets with less than 20% health.
Harpoon

Throw a harpoon at the enemy, inflicting a 20% attack power Bleed over 5 sec, pulling you towards them at immense speed and rooting them for 3 sec. While flying with Harpoon, you delay crowd controlling effects, making you always reach your target. Grants you 20% damage reduction while flying and 15% for 5 sec after connecting.
Harpoon will not deal damage to targets in breakable crowd control.
Harpoon is not on the global cooldown.
Vault

Leap over an enemy, pushing them behind you 5 yds and launching yourself 10 yds forward. Only castable 1 sec after connecting with Harpoon.
Passive: Pathfinding
While you have a pet active, you both gain 7% movement speed.
Passive: Predator’s Thirst
While you have a pet active, you both gain 7% leech.
Serpent Sting

Shoots a poisoned bolt at your enemy and 3 nearby enemies, dealing 170% attack power Nature damage over 20 sec, and spreading like a snake to a new enemy every 5 sec. This infects all your targets’ wounds, dealing a small burst of damage per bleed and poison effect, and extending the duration of your other bleeds and poisons by 1 sec. An effect can only be extended by a maximum of 2 sec of its original duration by this ability.
Mend Pet
10 sec cooldown
Heals your pet for 50% of its maximum health over 10 sec, ticking every 2 sec.
Has a 25% chance to dispel a magic, disease or curse effect each time it heals. You will not suffer from dispel protections applied to your pet.
Play Dead
Unlimited range
25 sec cooldown
Play dead, tricking enemies into ignoring your pet. Dispels all magical, slow and root effects from your pet.
Neither will suffer consequences from dispel protections.
Your bond with your pet allows your to ignore line of sight when using this spell and Wake Up.
Scare Beast

Scares a beast, causing it to flee in terror for up to 8 sec.
Castable while pacified.
Misdirection
100 yd range
30 sec cooldown
Misdirects all threat you and your allies within 20 yds cause to the targeted party member, beginning with your next attack within 30 sec and lasting 10 sec.
The target has 3% reduced damage taken after 5 sec of activation for 5 sec.
Misdirection is not on the global cooldown.
Nameplate and camera zoom distance
Nameplates are now reverted to a 100 yd range visibility.
Camera zoom reverted to previous limits.
Now you can see the whole zone while you look like an ant.
Pet Nameplate
Added a personal customizable nameplate for your pet, and an outline around your pet.
