From midnight alpha. For many expansions now I continue see major changes to pvp cause of pve, now they announce its too much for heals to kick in dungeons so as solution they remove all kicks from all else than rsham and increase even rsham kick cd from 12 to 30 sec.
Amazes me how they keep forgetting they could do changes between PvP/PVE separately, or use pve templates in general next time they buff one of the best dps in pvp like retribution got massive buffs for season 3 without use pve template for it even though its one of the best dps in PvP. And now theyre announcing to remove all kicks and change rsham kick cd all because of m+ PVE.
SPs have a 45s CD because of PvP as it’s a silence effect too, not just an interrupt…
Us PvE’ing SPs sre jealous of classes with a 12-15s interrupt.

Good example, could easily have different cd in pve. Iznogoud 
Silence is a talent, since forever… which thankfully will become baseline come Midnight although with a 30s CD.
Should’ve been a baseline interrupt ages ago with a much shorter CD, with the talent adding the silence effect and increased CD then.

It should, but that would been too sensical 
That would need them to hire more people .the motto of Microsoft is to layoff people not hire more 
If they somehow make interrupts only available to tanks in pvp .that would disrupt the meta quite somewhat

They are removing each of the specific interrupt ability from healing specs except rshamans which they nerf from 12 seconds cd to 30 seconds cooldown. I cant remember your classes name of it (I call all as kicks) but on my rdruid its skull bash for example, and they are removing it.
This will have major impact outside of m+ dungeons for where the change were targeted, yet it affects the entire game outside of m+ aswell, delves, world, PvP, all.
They should prune every specialization’s PvP-specific talents, and implement some global PvP-only talents there, one of which would be an interrupt on a logical cooldown for every specialization.

They tried something the like with honor talents, but they left it on mere 3 active talent slots and now they have only been adding more spells to honor talents lately but not increase the amount of active honor talents, and in practise rsham and priest for example have 2 “mandatory” honor talents in pvp so them adding more honor talents didn’t really give more choises, just more talents what they cant pick. Your idea is sound and how it could be done if honor talent system were improved by increasing the active amount of honor talents in general.

they are trying to make it just a zug zug fest but slowing down the CC meta
- its clearly for a console port to make things more simple.
I was thinking of the Honor talents (I didn’t know they had a name) being pretty much “hard-coded” with very limited player choice. Similar to how the trinket set is always a boost to primary stat and stamina, the Honor talents would provide everyone with PvP-specific tools that their specialization lacks (interrupt, movement, external, etc.). And maybe leave 1 talent for player freedom.
Yeah looks like it, they are making the game a lot simpler in general, I also had similar thought that it look like they are making it for mobile or console gaming and away from the mouse and keyboard requiring regular mmo gaming. I’ve always been an pc gamer with mouse and keyboard and not played much consoles so I’m not over joyed of the too simplistic look of midnight and fear it will make wow boring in gameplay. The removal of kicks for instance from healers will leave less to do in all of the games contents as a healer and affect pvp tremendously mostly negatively.

if PvP becomes a 70-80% dapening games that last 30- 60 minutes long per round
ill likely just quit
while im not overly bothered about a console port i do worry that the game will become something its not, like another Fortnite child game

Current season already is simple enough to be an mobile game, all I do is stand and press smite on my vw disc and thats how I climbed to duelist in shuffles. Its extremely simple gameplay and for long periods of time it becomes boring for me.
im not bothered about what changes they do to the game, at this point im welcoming the big changes in hopes it will kill it for me,
give me an excuse to move on to other games
i just wish they were upfront about the direction so i can make an informed decision beforehand
i still value the “ try before judge “ mentality so ill still give it a shot, regardless
but i really really do not want 60 minute Arena fights again. they suck.
Seeing the changes they are doing for midnight, I wont be playing anything I currently have from the 17 specs I have played for few expansions. By the looks of it I will only play DH Devourer and ditch healing and any caster and all else altogether.
For how long before become too bored remain unclear. I have not purchased it yet, by the looks of midnight currently I could skip it if I had another mmo now, not fan of anything I see for the changes.
I also predict it likely takes several years to smooth all the changes from removal of addons and the like, any beta testing they are doing now wont be enough.
you see i ithink Ranged classes will have it easier than melee with these changes.

ill likely still pvp but not Que Arena and stay in blitz and spam range from 40 yards
if it continues to be more simple than ill play the advantage of being a ranged class and get the rating i want before they revert the changes again
i feel sorry for melee classes in Blitz, they will struggle with the CC changes and Interupt removal on healers.
im not too confident that they have thought it through with the mobility changes too.. this again makes it harder to play melee
I feel Blitz already is better for range. Depends a lot if you have personal healer though. Arms is good with a healer but you need that somebody who has your back, or it doesnt gain dispels to get free from roots and cc and spends more time on gy in general. I think youre right that it will become harder for them if they gain less help from heal in general with this removal of kicks.
