[PvE] Monk or DH?

Hey everyone!

Could you please help me out, I was thinking about switching to Monk or DH from Feral, but I’ve heard that with each patch (not expansion) Monk is scaling very poorly with increased statistics and is left behind by the other classes dps-wise

About my gameplay interests:
• Focusing M+ (not higher than +15)
• Both classes are fantastic for me
• Loving mobility

Both classes will be fine

Basically, anything is fine up to a 15. Some classes handle it easier; DH is absolutely a simpler spec, monk makes you think harder and think a few moves ahead - but either is and will be fine at that level of play.

It’s also likely that there will be some balance hotfixes if either is very behind - Blizz aren’t exactly great at balancing, but when a flat 5% will help, they do eventually toss out a flat 5%. Will 5% be the difference in 15s? Not really.

And tbf, DH isn’t exactly the golden boy it used to be. It’s still 2 button gameplay, but it’s not topping the meters either. Eye beam, it seems, does not go brrrr.

So really, the question is, do you prefer:

1. mellow, calm, humorous, staves and fists, tends to blend in everywhere
2. edgy, confrontational, “what have you sacrificed?”, weapons that literally nobody else uses, looks out of place anywhere exception Legion zones

Also, how do you want people to treat you on first glance? DH has kind of a… rep for being rude, pushy, gogogo people, and tbqh I tend to try not to group with unknown DHs if I can avoid it because they are a risk

And do you ever want to be able to step back and spec healer? MW may not be meta in 9.1, but it is looking average; and an average offspec can be perfectly fine to step into now and then
