is it worth spending honor on a4 for leveling in lich king and how much better things for quest and dungeons will be better than a4?
Noone will tell You if it’s “worth” it, because people value the time spent on getting gear differently. It may be worth it for some, and not worth it for others. But: is it more beneficial to have S4 gear than quest greens? Absolutely yes. Is having S4 gear necessary to level in WotLK? Absolutely no.
Just go to wowhead’s gear planner and see for yourself.
It’s all comes down to your priorities. You have to remember you will have whole month of pre-patch and I’d say having S4 weapon to smack heads faster is well worth it.
Basically if you aren’t going to farm BT / SWP in pre-patch I’d strongly suggest getting S4 weapon at least. Not to mention if you buy a weapon on the day of pre-patch you will still be able to hit honor cap before WOTLK launch by just doing 2 dailies in Hellfire and Terrokar.
So overall I think get the weapons and don’t think about it.
An S4 weapon will last you whole month of pre-patch as well as up to lv76. Which is great value in my opinion. Also during pre-patch you will easily recoup the cost of the weapon. So there’s literally no downside of getting it.

you will replace s4 weapon at lvl 80, dont listen to these guys telling u 74 or 76, it will last you to 80 with an enchant, nothing beats it - so there, you have your answer
