PvP boosting / Alt’ing

I feel like the biggest reason new players isn’t playing, or at least quickly drops out of PvP is them facing boosters and alts. The amount of gladiators you meet at 1600 rating shows either how many people is alting, or how many got a boost and can’t keep the rating after. What do you guys think, should blizzard ban PvP boosting? Game would probably be a lot more enjoyable for new/casual players, instead of them hitting a wall at 15-1600 rating, and need months of training to make it to just 1800. The barrier to entry is a lot higher than it should be due to boosters and people having 5 alts of the same class.

Thoughts?

we are in the 36th pvp season… the chance to face a gladiator is very high.
I can tell you that a lot of glads are even more sh*t than anyone who is playing consistently on the same class at 1.8k… all these “2.8k xp” super heroes alting at 1.6k are mostly so dog because they think their ego can carry them and they are born multiclass. My friend is always very scared when he is seeing a gladiator mount at low rating… lmao, just smash them :boom:

Most people I see do this have low rated alts to stomp newbs. Met plenty of people 2400+ that has 4-5 of the same class, just to stomp newbs. Others you are sure right about. Doesn’t change the insane amount of boosters though, probably also why so many have a glad mount

I’d be more scared of titles for R1 rather than glad mounts, but even then— ive seen some SL/DF heroes who are like turbo boosted, playing with Blizzcon-equivalent level players to get their free ride and solo they’re absolutely clueless. Unfortunately thats just the world we live in, I wish it was a reportable offense sometimes cause there’d be so many less glad mounts and titled players running around if it was, same for fomo players. if a class gets broken stupid like ret, aug or DH I reckon the cut off should be alot more brutal cause the competition / comparison isn’t even remotely fair.

but at 1.6 you’ll climb aslong as you play for your own personal win condition

since easy gear and easy lvl. we facing new problem the skill lvl it doesn’t count of the rating. We play with same multy glad AWC r1 players in every rating.
Truly I believe we need battlenet MMR system per specialization at least. For start.
The rating system need to got value.
example if they boost with rogue alt at 1600, The main rogue in 2700 got effect mmr also for the main.
Maybe if 2 booster are like 3k rating on mains and got 2k boost player should play with 3k teams maybe will make boost even harder.
Now they are going the boost player at 2400. And doing wins at 1800 MMR. That is not new ofc
