Mana
Drink and Mage Food no longer restore Mana in Arena
Mana Gems will now spawn periodically in the center of the Arena in which only Healer specialization can see. Walking through Mana gems causes 10% of your base mana to regenerate over the next 10 seconds.
ah, yeah, because we want to balance everything around 2v2.
Rogue stealth kyting is a 2v2 problem.
Doesnt mean it shouldnt be adressed- but that doesnt mean screwing with mechanics just because.
forgive me mister- im just trying to restealth.
got none on feral.
Honestly, that change at least for assa/outlaw would have made rogues more or less in line.
Demons are the feature of all warlocks, but now only demo can make something out of it, while stealth was the huge advantage for Rogues for decades.
Rogues have not undergone the level of pruning that other classes suffered since WoD. Some classes/specs lost an entire mechanic and believed spells, while rogues maintained mostly the intact toolkit, and on top of that they acquired the traits that were missing for them in the past, and lack those traits that kept rogues in line in terms of the utility/survivability balancing.
In the past, rogues played like hit and run - high risk=high reward. With the good/exceptional damage constant/burst, best CC in the game, best mobility in the game they have lacked in terms of defenses and self healing.
Just look at Battlegrounds, rated and unrated. Guy can turn off brain and go anywhere he likes with no time limit being invisible.
In 3v3 and Shuffle the bigger problem is infinite restealthing and stealth not breaking to dots.
Just take a look at older iterations of Rogues where stealth broke from dots. Would you look at that, those expansions far less people complained about Rogues! And the Rogues that did gain a lot of rating actually deserved their rating.
And people still live on the idea that Rogues are the same as they were back then. Well no, there is literally no spec in the game that is more forgiving in terms of making mistakes.
Due to not really breaking from dots, Vanish is literally Divine shield.
it does break on dots.
its not infinite either.
I get the issue with rogues having 2 vanishes- thats crazy but again rogues are not the only one with stealth mechanic.
also one cant simply stay in stealth while his team is getting trained so even with your design (stealth being for 1 min like hunters) rogue still cannot affort to stay for 1 min in stealth.
Rogue would run around with absorb trinkets, playing dwarf and what not in Wrath Classic and would still pull it off, the game was also a lot different back then.
I dont mind stealth breaking on dots- it totally should, and it does, theres a talent that gives a short shield if you vanish and theres that.
Also people can give you a absorb so it wont break- mage can do that, priests too.
Infact many ferals dont know they can Barkskin = absorb talent + shadowmeld + prowl away = free restealth without breaking even with dots on, and ofc you can do it with any other shield given by your partner too.
Hunters can also do that, in fact they got it even easier since they can drop dots at any time or go immune + stealth.
But since you brought hunter into this- theres NOTHING in this game that hunter does NOT have, hunter shouldnt even have a stealth to begin with not the other- way around (rogue having a limited stealth).
But again- we’re not debating rogues entirely but stealth overall.
Theres no issue with stealth in RBGs.
Its entirely a Y O U thing.
What are you even saying.
Thats literally not true- the dot part.
Besides Vanish no longer immunes projectiles, dmg and ccs if timed.
its just a shield for 3 seconds or something like that.
Its annoying, but even without it vanish itself offers protection from stealth-break for 3 seconds ever since classic wow.
Anyway back to 2v2.
The only mature solution to 2v2 would be for Eye to last longer and not give 10% dmg taken debuff.
Even if dots break stealth after a few seconds you are no longer in combat if you’ve gotten distance. Meaning you can reach a pillar, get out from dots after a few seconds, then immediately restealth again and the shield cycle begins again.
And of course it’s a problem in battlegrounds. You can literally be anywhere on the map with no trinket and if some guy decides to kill you, there is basically no way you can know that is going to happen, unless you yourself are a stealth class or you’re a DH.
Stealth should have a bigger fixed timer that doesn’t allow it to have 100% uptime in instanced pvp content. If you Camouflage as a hunter its a 1 minute CD. Stealth should be a consistent mechanic only for openers, that’s the advantage it’s supposed to have in arenas. I don’t mind Feral druids using Prowl during Incarn for like a single second just to get another rake from stealth stun off. That’s completely fine.
But stealth should be a fragile mechanic and should break if dotted. No shields, no 2 vanishes + shadowmeld + tiny combat timer easily resettable on pillars. That’s just a joke.
No, it does not.
Shield is from Vanish, not from Stealth.
It was the case in Shadowlands
Yes but this is Shadowlands and it works only with Vanish.
The talent is called Cloaked In Shadows and basically gives you 3 secs extra protection + the 3 secs of vanish in practice. So 6 seconds protection from stealth-breaking of dots instead of the usual 3 secs.
So? how is this game-breaking ?
You know that the 2 classes function completely differently in regards to stealth right ?
its a stupid comparison.
On the surface you might think that this is all due to the team’s inability or inability to balance or react to the mismatches in the game. But this seems unlikely. At Blizzard there are highly skilled and recognized workers in their area. So there are only 2 plausible options and the simplest to explain this situation: a) They have the direct order to abandon the “modern” and focus on other objectives (which benefits the interests of the company at the expense of customer satisfaction, already loyal customers) or b) They are monetizing the situation of class imbalance monetizing sales services and are ordered to do minimal actions to appear interested in the problem. There is no other option. This is a large company, not a small studio without resources that cannot control its product. There are flaws so obvious and simple to fix for so long that any other possibility is ridiculous. Blizzard obviously wants this situation.
Also the slow effects of any class should be the same, I am warrior when rogue slows me I can’t move at all and he runs away. But when I slow to reach him, the slow is so little that he escapes again
