I just bought a lvl 58 boost while it’s on sale. My main is a warlock and I am thinking of boosting a melee for some pvp in wotlk.
I was thinking rogue, would love to hear your thoughts on rogue in wotlk. Also happy to hear about other melee pvp classes.

Arms Warrior with PvE armor penetration pices is top-tier IMO. But being rather average while waiting for the pieces till Phase 4 isn’t very attractive.
I think rogue is the highest skillcap, and frost dk beeing the lowest. It depends on what you want i reckon.
But if you put in the time and effort in the class, you should be having some fun i reckon.
Rogue is really strong for sure, alot of good comps in wotlk which is deffo viable in both 2’s and 3’s.

I think for a few weeks. It is on discount now. Wotlk will also have boost at launch I guess.

That’s just the one time game upgrade boost - you can’t get multiple boosts from shop.
WotLK boost will be very likely a separate item. Of course blizzard wants to sell new boosts to those who bought the 58 boost earlier. $$$ cash money
What do you think about Ret paladin for pvp ? Being able to tank or heal also sounds interesting
best classes in wrath for pvp:
Hunter, Dk, Ret, Arms for “physical”
destro, ele, frostmage for magic:
PvE:
dk ret warr hunter and rogue are all good picks for “physical” classes.
Rogue is a real solid pick. sub for pvp and assa/cpmbat for pve. But i can say overall for pvp warr/ret or dk are better choices
The good thing about wrath is that u cant go wrong (unless you wanna go for rank1, but I just assume you wont) so pick whatever you like 
you can even play prot pal or warr in 3s to glad
Melee: Warrior, DK, rogue or hunter.
Caster: Mage, lock, ele sham
Healer: Holy pala or disc priest
Pretty weak and hard to play.

its really boring in 1v1 though. i think you have like 3 damage buttons, thats it. ret pala shines especially in group content though (arenas & bgs) because of their utility
Problem with rets they get demolished way easily vs other caster (ele, sp, mage,lock,). And your primarly big cd is dispellable( wings) so you can easily get your dmg removed.
And with how much haste scaling isinsane in s7/s8 have fun moving to middle of map and living vs good people.

Ret isn’t strong. There was very few rets at high rating in original wrath in 3.3.x patch (s6 is really last time Rets considered A/S-tier class) 
and yes, ret utility is very strong but thats why ret is hard to play. Those who think “ret oneshot anything in wrath” probably only remember 3.0 prepatch and Season 5

Don’t take the ret paladin bait if youre interssted in arena. They are pretty weak on a 3.3.5 client.
Unless ofcourse servers like warmane are completely off.
