Hey i’ve been trying to turn off my pvp disable and it doesnt seem to want to disable my pvp icon banner. and im still flagged. ive tried being in iron forge / stormwind for well over 5 minutes and doesnt want to seem to go away. this is impacting my northrend questing…

Sounds like you may have picked up a PvP quest, which will keep the flag active until you complete or abandon it.
I don’t think we have a list anywhere, but from what I remember most of them are in Icecrown and Grizzly Hills. They should also be marked in your quest log if you could have a look.

A flight should turn off the PvP flag if you have it disabled when you right click on your portrait and have it set to disable, or you wait 5 minutes.
It’s also possible an addon is keeping it active.
Or you are on another character to the one you posted on and are on a PvP realm, some areas have it turned on automatically.
The chat command used to be /pvp not sure if that’s the same.
Today had the same problem on Woltlk classic pve server. Turns out, it was quest Seeking Solvent from Grizzly Hills.
