The funny thing is in the beginning of a season pve gearing is actually superior to pvp gearing even for pvpers. You cang et 550 conquest per week which is basically a ring, cloak, bracers or neck. Everything else costs 700, 875 or even 1800(weps) conquest points and it take 2 weeks to get it. If you dont have any rating the gear is ilvl 200. The weekly vault gives another piece if not unlucky.
After that you have to fill every other Slot with 184 ilvl gear which is equivalent to mythic 0 (!) gear. People spam +6 in the first week of the season and get way better gear.
Right now im doing almost only pvp and have 211 ilvl and i was really lucky with my vault im my conquest gear is upgraded to the highest ilvl. I see many people who pve and have way more ilvl.
Also pvp gear has versa on every slot. im at 25% versa and only 13% haste and crit. I would do way more dmg with 10 ilvl less and more haste/crit gear. There are only a few classes which need versa.
Is m+ and raid gearing frustrating right now? Yes. Is pvp gearing perfect and superior? not really.
Until tomorrow when you would create a new character last week and only pvp you would hit an ilvl wall at 190 ilvl where you cant progress further. Doesnt seem to broken to me.
lol high rated arena is 10x harder than any pve content besides raiding top 10 or something.
No, what is crazy is that M+ and Raiding are broken. They give next to no rewards. You could raid and M+ lots every day and still be extremely be lucky to walk away with one random drop which has a tiny % chance to be useful to you. Most people go away empty handed for many hours of effort a day.
Don’t blame PVP having a vendor for PVE gearing up being a total drowt+RNG hell. That is all on Blizzard for nerfing PVE drop rates into the ground.
If your experience of rated pvp like arena is stun stun dead on you, then you need to L2P.
If your experience is doing that to other people, then you’re facing newbs, and trust me you won’t find that once you start to get close to 1.4 rating.
So no, you can’t just flap your arms around and end up with a 50% W/L ratio all the way up to high rating. You will be able to flounder some 200 gear, but even breaking above 1.4 is going to require some actual effort to work on getting the W/L ratio to be more favourable, as 50-50 at that point means you will never really climb as each loss will take off what you earned by winning unless the game is stacking on you and your losses are against higher players and your wins only against higher players.
When you compare effort, this is still loads comapred to M+. you’d need to grind conquest cap in arenas with this attitude and you’d probably earn the first GV box, so maybe 2 loot (if u spend the conquest on jewellry only) at 200. Conversely I can fail one +6 key which takes me less than an hour and that guarantees I will get a 207 item in my vault and I may also get a drop in said dungeon too. That’s just for about 30 minutes of me failing content.
You will not grind your conquest cap out nor the honor requirement for GV by losing arenas for half an hour. And even when you do, the reward is still arguably worse.
Casual play is way more rewarded by m+ than PvP is. You can sack one high key a week and get a guaranteed high ilevel item in GV. Conversely in PvP you need to a sack quite a lot of arena games to get the GV reward and even then it will be stuck at 200.
Conversely if you sink a lot of time and effort into the playstyle, pvp is probably more rewarding than M+. But the level i’m talking about is maintaining rating required to get 226 items.
Anyway despite Vinzora is clearly trolling all of you he is succesfull in fueling the thread with menaces, half truth, random opinions, false assumptions. A mirror of times i dare to say.
This is a perfect perfect trolling thread. Bravo! Erevien is noone in your presence.
u have human factor in arena, ye ofc 1400 is a joke, but as you go higher it s harder and harder/. meanwhile u smash your head to a boss 100 times and u will eventually get him down and farm him.
you and your kind of pve heroes are bringing pvp and the game to this state, with it s pruning and specs, and dumbing of classes etc.
STOP CRYING AND KITE MORE(or should i flame your broken tank spec that can do what he does)
This isn’t just about the elite skillz required to win a 1 minute arena match, but time invested. The raid is filled to the brim with trash and crazy boss mechanics and after 1 wipe people leave and it’s just more waiting. With so many harsh 1-shot mechanics all it takes is for one person to mess out of 10-20, compared to 2-3 in arena where enemy players can mess up as well. AI bosses NEVER mess up. I’m using all my focus and brain power on fights like Inerva as raid leader and making big calls and shouting in discord, it’s exhausting. I’m doing math in real time looking at the container percentages. If raiding is such a good source of loot then pvpers would be gearing there and raiders wouldn’t feel the need to spam arenas to raid.
You are the equivalent of a Karen. In your opinion, 20 people fighting vs SCRIPTED AI, is harder than healing Rated RBGs, where healers basically go through several stages of anxiety per BG? Cool thinking.
And just because some simple bosses like Council require your full focus and brain power, does not mean that this is for all people. Some of us are more advanced than you Have a Great day!
But pvp people are gearing in raids, but up until now only pvpers were forced to raid and PVE could basically ignore it.
Let’s segregate all ways to get loot in the game: Dungeons, Raids, PVP. You should only be allowed to play with the specific gear in each content. How dare someone play a type of the content to get gear and use it somewhere else. Obviously i am joking but this is the first expansion in which PVP had viable gear, still worse than PVE and people complain?
So what you are saying is, bosses never mess up, so you aren’t forced to react to it in real time. So as long as you memorize the mechanics you can’t fail. Clearly having 1 person who needs to memorize the container mechanic is such a feat of strength which is unmatched by those who play pvp.
