This is not about balance that is another subject its about how pvp gets to much loot, you bassicly do not have to rely on rng for pvp gearing, while for pve you have to rely on rng

Wotlk had both loot and currency. Worked perfectly fine.
Wrath also had a separate PvP stat to differentiate the 2 modes, and to have a pace of gearing better befitting the unique demands of both.
In order for PvE gear acquisition to be straight up buffed, there would have to be something to make it not completely eclipse PvP progression.
i said better method of gearing up. Who said it’s about balance?
WQ and covenant gear made everything unrated and everything below m+ absolute waste of time.
Even a m+10 is basically only worth because of the vault
