Hello, SOrry for my bad english knowlage, i try my best.
I looking for a healing surge macro for my shaman but i’M bad whit macros.
what i wanna do:
-If i have no target or my target enemy = heal myself
-If the target is friendly = heal the target
Very good point The Auto-Selfcast option is likely the better way to go here, it basically does exactly what you ask for, by default, for each and every single one of your abilities.
Over all i would recommend auto-selfcast, but playing a protection paladin myself i do find it has a few minor but significant downsides (that i have had to account for), For example:
Lay on Hands is an amazing ability, but it has about a decade-long cool down, so you tend to want to keep it for real emergencies. Sometimes i see someone else at low health and i’m not sure if the healer will manage to get another heal/tick on them in time so i decide to throw LoH on them, however sometimes they die at the exact moment i try to LoH them (not as rare as you might think, after all, they were near death already), auto-selfcast will now see that my target is dead (so not a valid target for LoH) and LoH myself instead, which is wasted seeing as i might be at 95% health, but still triggers the decade long cool down.
