all my gear is above lvl 600 (most 626) yet my ilvl says 598. what gives?
Because you probably looking at PvE ilvl, not PvP.

obviously i am not. i wouldn’t make a forum post if i wasn’t sure i was looking in the correct place.
seems like it was a bug and got fixed now. it now shows 625 instead of 598
Your pve gear drop ilvl in pvp, maybe thats why.
But great answer for someone who tried to help you
