What expansion exactly, didn’t make you play PvE though?

Who cares about anima drops anyway? You can’t spend it on anything cause you need Redeemed Souls, which are capped at 5/5 per week for all players and the good transmog items come at Renown 37… Why would you need anima in the first place and why are the ways of getting anima a problem for you?

It’s true that PvPers “Must do PVE” is annoying and I actually hate it. but it’s been like this since classic.

the only time we didnt need to do PvE was in WoD cuz items scale with PvP power , I dont remember an expansion where u only need to do PvP any other than WoD.

Oh no! Back in vanilla, ever since the original game released, you had to do thiose bbig raids to get your gear too :#

Beginning of Ulduar, I think, our best Resto totem came from arena. It had a low rating requirement, fortunately, but man, did I hate that part.

I don’t understand why people are so opposed to quality of life improvements which don’t even affect them. Like how does it impact them personally if you get all your gear through PvP? It’s not a zero-sum game, so you’re not taking anything from them.

You don’t pay for this game to populate someone else’s background or help fill their groups. If they think there are too few people around, they’re always free to recruit their friends.

I think overall there would be more people subbing if you could truly choose your own path to gear. To me, it makes no sense that you need raid gear for PvP or for M+ or Torghast at high levels. In the end, sane people want gear they can complete their preferred content in, not gear they can strut around in.

Lontar, a guy with 35 R1s, is at least 2k4 since the first day of the expansion.

He did 0 pve besides torghast and renown.

Yes…to people that really push that “if you want to pvp find another game…pvp is sidegame…”…
That can have …some truth … Until the moment you realise that arena tournaments as much bad as they can be ,they still getting rewarded with dollars/euros…
Not bad for a strictly pve game eh?
Meanwhile pve had their own stage…way recently ( i think legion) with guess what …m+.
So correct me if i am wrong…but when you push official tournaments with money…yes it’s a thing.
When you push rewards behind ratings (titles/gear/mounts / cosmetics/whatever) yes it’s a thing…as much ANY pve content you get.
Also… don’t do like crappers when pvpers ask balance or pvp things…because the amount of qq for class “x” dps is OP etc. Is at least equal or even more stupid in pve…
And i don’t think they come in your topics to say their “ideas” about how much they should nerf PvE gear for PvE…they ask and discuss things about PvP and what should be done about PVP having NOTHING to do with PVE…

To this day I still have no idea why they dont just use 100% templates for PvP.

Look at ANY PvP game worth anything on the international scene (from Chess, to LoL, to CS:GO, to Overwatch (kek), to whatever, and they all give the players the same opportunity and the same power.

There should AT LEAST be a ‘Template’ PvP checkbox that people can check/tick that puts them in a separate group/pool.

It seems so obvious to me, to make all characters the same power level and have fights and battlegrounds determined by skill and strategy.

If people are worried that they won’t be able to use their ‘hard earned’ PvE rewards in the game, kindly direct them to…

PVE CONTENT.

If Blizz are determined to fulfill limpd**k trolls’ desires to bully undergeared players for ‘fun’ then fine, give them the option to fight one another.

But give people who actually like PvP (and want it to thrive) a template option.

A person who plays all aspects of the game should be better than someone who just plays one.
Game already does enough bending over for pvpers.

As a main PvP player I disagree with everything except the gearing system.

The conquest cap really put the PvPers at a massive disadvantage, comparing to PvErs. While M+ is spammable, PvP route is hitting the conquest wall so we rely on the vault for that 1 guaranteed item a week. We should be able to buy 1 item at least to be on par with PvE players.

This is without mention of trinkets and other pieces that are pure PvE items and it’s been like this since forever really, but we got used to that.

I’m all about loot being rare and special, I have no issue with it, but make it fair for everyone.

Lol, you realize that you don’t need to do any PvP as a PvE player to get your bis gear, right?

By your logic we should force you into PvP to maximize your character as well.

You do, there is not a single trinket that is on par with PvE ones.

Now I wouldn’t have an issue with that if they disabled PvE trinkets in PvP.

I don’t agree… Got an ilvl 220 ring and getting a choice of 3 ilvl 226 items from the vault on Wednesday. Meanwhile I killed 4 raid bosses and got lucky enough to get a ilvl 200 BOE. I would get a “choice” of an ilvl 213(?) from the vault for my PVE effort

I wish everything u said was true, but its not. I have to gear up my bis stats haste/vers to not get one shotted in pvp (in pve my bis stats is haste/mastery). Still got oneshotted by rogue in defensive stance in 2 sec of cheap shot tho, I didnt know I have to trinket it and press every defensive abilities. My pve trinkets are garbage in pvp, doing 1.5k from grim codex is a joke, id prefer pvp trinkets set with increased vers dmg. Also getting needed items in pvp is a lot easier, u dont have to relay on random drop.

And then be told that he needs to spend 20 hours of PvP activities per week just to be somewhat viable in Raids, cause it’s fair when a player has to spend time in all aspects of the game :slight_smile:

No its not. Its 100% PvP. Get team and get rating. If you cant do that you can spam random BGs and still get decent gear and upgrade it. Im not seeing the problem, honestly.
