Will this be available tomorrow like in shadowlands? I know its five more weeks or so before the engine can transmute items, but will you be able to RNG them from pvp-vault?
I was wondering this as well. If not, it would give a huge advantage to guys who can raid heroic/mythic in the coming weeks, as they will get decent ilvl tier pieces, not much under 424, which would completely contradict this philosophy of giving everyone equal PvP iLvL. Some set bonuses are pretty big, 10% extra damage would be really noticeable at equal skill/ilvl.

Yes they drop ,saw some posts on the US forum from people who got it in the vault

The set items also scale to 424 if they’re converted from a pvp item as far as I know.
Most of them are like the old set bonuses, not that gamebreaking as they were in SL but still powerful.
I want my 2 set bonus, more dmg for felstorm it hits already for 25k crit(this wasn’t demonic Strength, it was a normal Felstorm). With the set bonus it is 20% stronger.
Could confirm they exist.
A friend of mine playing on US server had got the chest with tier bonus, and get to 424 in instanced PVP
EDIT: I’ve also heard they only work in wPVP, disabled in instanced PVP

You sure your friend got the tier piece in the vault from doing instanced rated PvP? Since the vault reward reflects where you capped the vault.
Yup, on the lowest row, with other 2 items being actual PVP gear
The one his cursor was on did not have Vers, but with the 424 ilvl statement
I got both chest and helm in pvp vault today, took the chest. So yes, confirmed 
You can, but its not guaranteed to have a tier bonus

this is number 1 bs. how can devs even think this is a good idea… they clearly still havent understood. DONT LOCK PLAYER POWER BEHIND RNG/TIMEGATE. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE

Because PvE players like rng and Ion is a PvE player.
It says “Increases item level to 424 in Arenas and Battlegrounds.”
