Gear is already normalized. And skills already have PvP modifiers.
What needs to be done is the same as in PvE. They need to do weekly tuning permanently. That way the FOTM OP spec rerollers cant do their thing. Because you will only be āOPā for a week at max.
But if you continue to do that every week no spec will be at the top for long. Which means all specs will be viable.
And then, all PvP modes IMO are fine. The issue is finding healers.
And as a healer I refuse to heal in Arenas as long as the SS rating calculation is so unfair to me. And in other modes, well⦠its extreemly difficult to heal anyone if he is focused by 2 to 5 people at once. Even tanks flop in those situaitons. So the burst damage has to go down a notch or two to make it fun again. Or give instant cast heals to every healer.
Those issues is something that has been a problem for all of DF. And for now⦠all I got was an extra loot box for my āeffortsā. When what I want is rating for the sweet mog and mount.
And in WW the same thing happens. So yeah⦠you wont be seeing me any time soon in Arenas.
My guy youāre in pve gear, mid ilvl pve gear at that. Why should someone in full glad not have a clear advantage over you exactly?

At the time i hated how much healing classes had with traits and powers etc but pvp was actually in a good spot in BFA except for the pruning of classes etc.
I dont mind the way it is now either but it could be better that i can agree on.
Pvp should be made easier for healers faster queue times.

but one of the biggest ones that i see everyday and people are angry about is premade groups vs random and low or newbies in random bgs and epic bgs
the day they make pvp rewards obtainable after a season has ended. tis the death of PVP

what they need to do is balance the game around DPS only
leave healers and tanks in pve
only then will you get true balance. look at Gw2 . no healers all dps. and PVP is booming

Ofc pve will always get new stuff its MMORPG PVE always will be more popular and easier for people to do then pvp not everyone has a good reaction time or likes to learn and get better (Like you) PvE always needs new dung/raids/npcs to fight for it to change in pvp you fight other classes which change each exp (Some reworked some tweak some changed and some get minimal change with new abillities/talents)
Also pve always needs new maps each exp ofc for Story/Lore and in general as an MMO game that needs open space to play (BTW world pvp quests exist which its own gear set/rewards/achievements/mounts)

PvP is plagued by 3 things: Imbalance, lack of interest from the devs and class discrimination (randomly killing off classes because reasons). Honorable mention for barely listening to constructive feedback and just throwing around % buffs until a class suddenly starts dominating.
The reason is that the realms were hilariously imbalanced that made the unfavored faction almost unplayable in outdoor content.
I had to p much stop playing alliance altogether during Legion because of the imbalance on my realm, I couldnāt get anything done in the open world.
Gear wouldnāt be a problem if they specifically tuned talent trees for PvP. Thatās never going to happen, so I hope in the distant future they are going to create PvP specific talent trees. This way building the game around M+ and homogenisation will no longer impact PvP balance.
PvP is popular in the context that WoW is still the most played MMO. Relative to its growth, PvP has really been super stagnant and thatās because itās incredibly newcomer unfriendly. The barrier to entry is high and that wonāt change until Blizzard helps make the process easier.
Now is really hard to find hordes in warmode on. I tried even in Kazzak xD
I still doubt it will increase PvP playtime by a lot. Like you mentioned in one of your posts, rewards are a big incentive for many people, including those who donāt even like PvP. If you are able to earn cosmetics, then people will play. If you make the cosmetic inaccessible to most people by setting the difficulty too high, they will try and quit or wonāt play at all. Locking PvP rewards behind FOMO and giving PvP this weird treatment of āonce the season is over, you will never be able to get this cosmetic and mountsā is just a big deterrent for a lot of people. Thereās no sense of progression for people who are trying to work towards a set or mount; they have roughly 4 months to get it, and once itās over, well, itās over. This adds to the stress of PvP for some people.
I really donāt understand why you can earn Mythic transmogs and mounts after an expansion, but you canāt earn PvP elite sets or mounts after the seasons. I like PvP regardless whether I get rewards or not, but thatās not the case for most people.
At this point, the only thing that would entice me into PvP is if they made it like a Plunderstorm style but you get to use your actual character. Iām not sure if/how that is technically feasible. I donāt want to farm separate PvP gear either, so perhaps the rewards can be things like gold, pets, mounts and transmogs.
The number of spells available and the sweats with their addons just make it one of the worst competitive environments ever Iāve played. Sorry to those who play mainly to PvP in WoW but I think youāre a dying breed.
If it were to be a plunderstorm type mode they can still make it an eSport, arguably a more attractive one.
