Bronze Celebration Token Changes Incoming -- 30 October

We are increasing the amount of Bronze Celebration Tokens that players can earn from Season 1 weekly activities with weekly resets tomorrow.

Our goal has been that players should and can get all the tokens they need during the event by playing content they enjoy. We hope that this increase will help some players get more tokens naturally by engaging with their regular content and the 20th activities that interest them the most. This should open repeat tokens faster and allow players to continue with their preferred content type be it PvP (Korrak’s Revenge), raiding (Blackrock Depths), dungeons (Classic Timewalking), or outdoor style content (World Bosses or Codex of Chromie).

Updated Bronze Celebration Tokens:

  • Dornogal Weekly Quests (Worldsoul, Archive, Delve)10 Bronze Celebration Tokens
  • Bonus Holiday Quests (Timewalking, World Quests, Arena, Battleground, Dungeon, Delve)10 Bronze Celebration Tokens
  • Zone Activity Weeklies (Awakening the Machine, Spread the Light, Snuffling, Azj’Kahet Pacts, Theater Troupe)8 Bronze Celebration Tokens each
  • Special Assignment World Quests – 8 Bronze Celebration Tokens each/2 per week
  • 11.0 World Boss – 8 Bronze Celebration Tokens
  • Queen Ansurek – 15 Bronze Celebration Tokens
  • Conquest/Rated PvP Weekly – 15 Bronze Celebration Tokens
  • Honor, War Mode, and Brawl Weeklies – 8 Bronze Celebration Tokens each

Thank you so much!
I don’t own TWW and I don’t have the money for it, so I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to get everything I wanted. I’m also a returnee so I don’t have a hoard of timewalking badges, so I can focus on that instead of worrying over both bronze and badges.

I do have one request, if possible, can we get an outline of what is Anniversary exclusive and what is a permanent addition to existing vendors like timewalking mounts. I massively enjoyed that I could see what was MoP Remix exclusive simply by reading tooltips.

Huge W. Changed it faster than they did Bronze and i’m glad for that.

You did not even reset weeklies and you probably wont do that this week either, so essentially i am getting 0 celebration tokens extra, while you contineu to ignore feedback just like you did during Dragonflight when i was crashing for entire expansion until 2 months before The War Within expansion release.

waits for someone to still complain about something

They won’t change stuff until people complain, and if people don’t complain they’re more than content letting us grind it very slowly.

Thank you! :100:

Oh nice one!

Lovely change. NOW the anniversary event doesn’t feel like a full-time job and feels like a fun event where we get rewarded for being there on World of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary.

oh thank goodness!
I cant sit at a desk for long periods of time for health reasons and was despairing of getting enough tokens for everything. Fantastic change!

Lets face it this game works best when you can dip in and out of content and play for the amount of time that suits you.

Are we even remotely surprised anymore?
At this point I firmly believe this system is deliberate.
Step 1: hype up something with new shiny rewards and a new currency.
Step 2: release it and give players a very limited way to farm said currency.
Step 3: wait a bit, depending on how long the event lasts, and look at player’s reactions.
Step 4: Press the ‘button’ and give players access to the currency way more freely.
Step 5: players feel the grind is now worth it, especially compared to before, grind it out and stay subbed longer / return to the event.

And yes, it’s working. I feel relieved and look forward to grinding more than I did before so yeah…

Plunderstorm, MoP bronze and now this. It’s their new business plan.

Its hatd to me to say it but yes, i guess you are right.
The fact the change was so… too much. During sl there was an amima shortage spanning for almost 1 year. And like now anima was focused on mogs and similar stuff (ok not only). This time we passed from 0 to hero in 1 week and in the meanwhile the possibility to farm tw currency was infinite (for people with a lot of alts like me).
Bah.

Nice for the players taking part.

I went there yesterday and well, I’ll be passing on the event.

While I would love to join you for some Blizz-bashing, this time around the system is fine. After this change, that is. All you really need to do is go to Tanaris once a week and pick up the quests, then continue with your WoW journeys. You should complete at least some quests automatically that way, probably very fast, too.

10 here, 10 there, it will add up. Much better than the previous x1 here, x2 there, a million quests giving you one and you gotta catch them all lol.

EDIT: Oh, btw, Blizzard, my weekly Dornogal quests are missing for 3 of my chars still, can I get those back ? Kinda missing a lot of shinies without them ?

I did almost all things this reset.
I’m an outlier I think (not sure of course)
I was already looking at it like I can do this 1 more week maybe.
But this change means we be rolling in bronze baby!
It’s a big ol increase but it also means you can get the bronze you want easier over the time you want to do it.
In my case. I’ll do a lot.
Other people might chill and just pvp or run dungeons :man_shrugging:t3:
