PvP Sucks ._

Really haven’t been enjoying it lately. It was kind of a rollercoaster for me. At first it was a bit exciting, then I got bored of it, then I started playing disc, that made it fun again and now…I’m just bored of it. Same classes still dominate the leaderboard, Pres evokers are still ungodly broken, shamans are just dumb. Idk, just not enjoyable to heal

I hate knowing that whenever I press a healing ability with a cast time, that there is a 99% chance it will get interrupted.

In what other PvP game is the hindering and inability to play the game such a big part of the gameplay?

Why PvP in WoW has to be such a dumpster fire of degenerate crowd control spam is beyond me. I will never understand or appreciate it.

Pvp used to be fun but that was a long time ago. This season in particular is the worst ever and hardly anyone can truly enjoy pvp this season. Those who still play play out of habit or simply have nothing else to do/play.

Because WoW is all point-and-click damage, or at least most of the abilities are, so options to stop a spell from hitting its target are limited.

Personally I think WoWs combat system simply isn’t suited for PvP and the game mode shouldn’t exist in the first place. For ppl who like actual PvP there are other games like HotS where skill comes from aiming your abilities instead of stunlocking or hiding.

Plus the efforts to keep abilities balanced between PvP and PvE ruins and limits the game in an unhealthy way.

Stopcasting macro. Must have.

Retro was unkillable in season 2 in TBC lol won so many 2v1 just heal hug a pillar and moonfire the double dps lol…

But yeah tanks n healer specs need to go.
self heals need to go
they need to totally redo PvP with its on set of skills like Guild Wars 1. Not just take PvE skills.

Yeah and there’s a PvP talent as well and various class abilities. But it honestly does very little against an army of enemies that all have an arsenal of ever-replenishing crowd control that exist entirely for the purpose of shutting your gameplay down.

And it’s just not fun.

It’s not very fun to be the healer that has to fake-cast and use all kinds of immunities and so forth, and still just get the bathtub and kitchen sink thrown in your face for the entirety of the game.
And it’s honestly also not very fun to be the damage-dealer who is just constantly throwing everything in the cupboard at the healer as fast as possible.
It quickly reaches a point where the PvP gameplay feels pretty degenerate because you’re really just spamming abilities or trying to.

Like I said, no other PvP game designs its gameplay to be so intrusive to the player, and for good reason I think. It isn’t very fun. It’s mostly just annoying and upsetting and frustrating, and then once in a blue moon it’s a little fun and exciting and you feel like you did something exceptional and amazing. But mostly you’re just spamming buttons like a psychopath.

Precog makes you immune to all CC for 4 seconds by the way. If you get trained by an army, you only have to cast 0.2 seconds and stop, chances are good that one of the monkeys will interrupt you.Now you are free to do whatever you want.

Ps. faking a Penance is almost garanteed to proc Precog, because it’s a channel and most DPS think it is a free kick.

oh boy then you will love throne and liberty game .the game literally has cc in almost every other ability :smiley_cat:

Yeah yeah yeah. I know how to play my character. I’m not posting because I’m struggling and in need of advice or tips on how to be better.

I merely share my sentiment toward PvP gameplay in general and why the design isn’t very fun.

Blizzard have designed a lot of the gameplay around crowd control and applying it properly and with the correct timing, and likewise avoiding it and knowing when to use defensives and such.

But my point is that it’s a form of gameplay that is inherently not very fun.

PvP feels the most fun when you have a period where you just get to play your character, mostly or entirely unhindered. Where you get into a flow of decision-making and prioritization of your abilities and ramp your damage or healing.

That whole process of “Oh, now I can’t move.” or “Damn, I’m silenced, have to wait.” or “I’m a frog, I’ll just jump around a bit.” is fundamentally not fun to be on the receiving end of. And given how much crowd control there is in the game, you are very often on the receiving end of it.

Technically you can buy some WoW Tokens, sell them for gold, and get someone to craft you a top notch PvP weapon. So… :no_mouth:

and this is fine
PvP stats are normalized anyway and it is farmable by solo

1k dolar weapon i am comparing drops from arch boss in TL

its like buying fyralath legendary off the auction house in WoW

The min/max PvPer would point out that you can choose the stats on your crafted gear, but you can’t to the same degree on the vendor gear, so if you want to optimize your PvP gear, then crafting is the way to go. And WoW Tokens will get you there faster than otherwise.

I get it though. It’s not so much in-your-face as other games with their monetization, but it’s certainly there in WoW.
