PVP tagged by npcs

Hi!
Im trying to get to badlands as horde. The standard way to go there is to go through Loch Modan, as long as far as i know (dont wanna get a 50+ mob chasing me in the brm zone). So by doing this you need to pass some tunnels with lvl 30 (?) guards. When/if they aggro my character they pvp flag me instantly, which means i could get killed instantly by a lvl 60 (my char is 40 atm). If u could do this traveling a little easier, like not pvpflagging my character (when not pushing a single spell) that easily i’d appreciate that.

Bug report this. Is a new bug in HC.

Getting flagged from NPCs is not a bug, it’s how it has always worked.

Edit: Looking around I find a bit saying both, perhaps it got changed in Era but i’m pretty sure I recall being tagged in Vanilla without doing anything offensive.
Seems a bit unclear, possible mix from War Mode from retail, it’s really a mess to keep track of the different versions and it seems to be a mess on Blizz side as well.

No, you have always needed to interact with an offensive spell to get flagged. Just running by and being flagged when aggro is new since HC. Earlier you could even have thorns on and afk letting the mob hit you until it died without getting pvp flagged.

Trust me, I have played druid since 2005 Thorns has never tagged me before. My guess is that they have changed something to prevent griefing opposite faction, and this aggro/hit=flag nonsense is a newly introduced “feature” because of that.
