There’s three of them, they’re all some manner of ranger and they’re all complicit in various degrees of war crimes such as the murder and torture of innocent civilians only to repeatedly get a free pass.
I’m not up do date with alliance lore but aleria was gone for like a billion years. Was veressa part of that dalaran purge thing?
Sylvanas is a super unfortunate case.
Maybe she wasn’t the best written character but for the majority of her story she was a damaged soul that wanted two things.
Revenge and a future for her people.
She got revenge but then the atrocity called Shadowlands rolled in and blizz decided to twist her into some mean girl that hates the horde and the forsaken cause she is part of that death gods plans.
They should kept her story after arthas death to be fighting for a future for the forsaken.
Even the sub plot of her killing herself and then seeing that dark place (we now know that’s the maw) and her not wanting to go there was Oke until it became part of the jailors story

The Alleria controversy is more obscure, since it happens in a book - she tortures someone for information and her husband is shocked by it but it doesn’t really amount to anything of note.
Yep. She took advantage of the confusion and chaos to send the Silver Covenant to hunt down and murder/assault any Sunreaver that they came across, despite knowing that they had nothing to do with Garrosh’s plan.
Yeah - I think it was silly to push her down such a route as keeping her morally grey would’ve been more satisfying overall. It’s a bit frustrating that they echoed all the same plot beats with her that they’d already down with Garrosh. It doesn’t help that we’re seeing yet another former leader of the Horde becoming a raid boss in the next patch too.
So I won’t lie, I’d really like to see another Alliance character killed off to balance things out a little.
A thousand, give or take, but she and Turalyon both tormented (mind-invaded) an orc and later a pirate for information of Sylvanas’ whereabouts just before Shadowlands. Technically Alleria did the mind-invasion, Turalyon aided with holy chains.
You know, typical date-night stuff!
By virtue of being the commander of the Silver Covenant, she was taking orders from Jaina on the matter. Depending on which faction you played the event as, the other faction was shown in an especially unflattering light, but violence was definitely had.
It ought to be noted that this, in-canon, seems to have been largely set aside since then. Jaina and Lor’themar were fairly cordial only a short while later, Khadger circumvented The Six to work with Blood Elves during WoD, and Legion was the point where Sunreavers were readmitted to Dalaran, much to Aethas Sunreaver’s joy. A fact that made Jaina throw a fit and depart, sure, but no one cared.
… of horrible writing and character assassiation. I’m happy with her being off stage for the time being, seeing as she somehow survived despite reasonable odds.
Blizzard dropped the ball when Anduin survived being an almost-DK. Though I guess another dead Wrynn in Shadowlands was too soon.

You kow it was nice for a few days when this thread wasn’t active. But SOMEONE always brings it back. Let it die people otherwise the last 2 fanatics will never stop. Let the rest of the community be at peace.
There will also be the CGI cinematic !!!
I imagine the CGI version of Quel’Thalas will be magnificent.

Maybe that will change when there is more information on the Midnight expansion (trailer).
