Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race - 2024 (Part 1)

Yes I expect that we will come to a point similar to the alternate dreanor.
Where they had those super fanatic light worshippers

Absolutely crazy there was no mention of High Elves for Midnight 12.0 story obliviously blood elves will key feature in it and rightly so and then void elves in the void storm zone.

It’s strange after the whole message regarding reuniting the scattered elven tribes… where is Vereesa Windrunner and the Silver covenant, they should be front and centre (for the alliance side of this expansion) just like blood elves are rightfully front an centre too. It’s all rather odd, hopefully they haven’t forgotten that Vereesa or the silver covenant exists, even though they keep dotting high elf npc’s around in the game  hope we get some clarification soon

I say we should relax and wait.

They threw that elven reunification on the table they can’t just back off of it now.

Until now we haven’t seen any other elves in the footage.
I gues they will build it up over the first season and that’s better then the reunion just happening without us seeing them working together and getting closer

Blizzcon 2018 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MMn544Jsmo&t=32m25s :

Attendee: If we’re getting Azshara, though, what’s happening with the cannon? That’s all I need to know. Are we firing that?

Alex Afrasiabi: That’s an amazing- I asked that every day. Quite honestly.
Attendee: What is happening with that cannon?
Alex Afrasiabi: How do you make a big cannon and never fire it? Foolish. We’re going to fire that cannon.

They can very easily back off of it.

Particularly as Elven unification was never defined. Perhaps he meant just Void Elves and Blood Elves, and perhaps he was caught up in the moment and misspoke, and perhaps things changed in development.

We can continue our requests to add high elves (allied race or customizations) because today a dev just said that Amani customizations will be unlocked for darkspear trolls by completing the Zul’aman zone.

But I really don’t understand why they don’t say anything about the High Elves?! Nothing at all! It’s as if they’re deliberately ignoring the subject.

I think for now, Blizzard just wants Blood Elf players to be happy, lol.

I feel like Blizzard filtered the questions before the interviews because no WoW influencers asked or mentioned high elves or void elves.

Obviously, the High Elves will be present at Midnight.

B please. They aren’t even letting the youngest sister Windrunner inside lol whose high elf still.

Do they know Arator is a half elf, not a high elf?

They probably think Arator is a high elf and that’s their spotlight, lol.

He and Vereesa windrunner are still high elfs due to they were both gone when Silvermoon and blood elf and scourge happend.’ Arator is a halfen elf due to he has a human father.

Its just blizzard dont want to gibe us the high elfs. Heres a dam Troll with tusk race no one cared for.

Patience. High Elves will come one day. They are the most requested race, this is a fact that Anti-Helfers cannot deny because it’s literally a fact that High Elf megathreads are always the biggest megathreads on any WOW space. And considering how they don’t have a unique model or skeleton, they could just focus on customization options which is cheaper and easier.

And if there’s one thing we must acknowledge about Blizzard, it’s that they’re unpredictable. People thought Haranir would become playable, BUT IN A TWW PATCH. No one thought they’d be playable in Midnight because they had nothing to do with the plot of the expansion before yesterday.

So don’t put it past Blizzard to randomly drop the High Elves in The Last Titan.

There is a perfect zone in Northrend that is connected to the Helves’ history, one that in Wrath sadly had no meaningful content…

Vereesa Windrunner was not in Silvermoon during the Scourge’s attack that destroyed the city, as she was in the Mage City of Dalaran at the time.

Blizzard are missing out on so much lore literally making me puke blizzard are like nope not today we dont give a crap heres trolls with tusk race.

Today we know that Sylvanas will be present at Midnight

“I feel like you will see some Sylvanas at some point here, that seems very likely” -Maria Hamilton

Vereesa Windrunner ← the youngest sister doesn’t even get anything its like blizzard spitt on the face on high elfs.

I think Vereesa will also be there because there’s the Windrunner Spire Dungeon.
There will probably be a Windrunner Sisters reunion.

who knows still very disappointed in no high elfs.

Skeleton/model is just one step.
You need to count also they have to add whole new NPC lines (voiced, written). That would include also character emotes especially the ones voiced (flirt, LOL, thanks, charge…). That all also includes combat sounds of characters.
They have to add new racial mount (even if they used traditional Hawkstrider it wouldn’t be in the same color scheme).
They would need to add new Heritage Armor for new Allied Race of Helves, including developing whole new heritage questline.
If adding Helves as new race, it’s kinda logic, they would be paladins too - which mean, special paladin mount.
If they would allow them to be druids - whoa - I am not even gonna start.
So no, it’s not just copy paste as easy as you might think.

Adding more customization to existing void or blood elves would not in any means satisfy the helves fanatics, since by the game you would be still regonized either as void or blood elf.

Adding helves as separate allied race only for Alliance would open again anothe 1000 threads on forums asking for separate capital (no, don’t tell that wouldn’t be the case).

Personally, I don’t care if they would add Helves as an allied race or just customization. For me they’re the least appealing race (since I’m playing only male models and velf, belf male model is just nah).

The main point is - no matter what Blizz will do, helves fanatics will never be satisfied at all.

They added playable High Elves under the name of Blood Elf with new lore back in TBC to attract more people, mainly for the Horde faction as it was way less populated than Alliance.

After years, the added void Elves for the Alliance, later with customization of blue eyes for both elf variants (also long requested customization). And judging by this, that this was not enough, I doubt that adding more customization or adding a separate race would solve any issue, as there will always be something you will be ranting about.

Easiest solution - kill of the remaining Helves in game during Midgnight, leave just void elves and blood elves and as an extinct race, the problem is solved.

Anyway, blood elf = high elf. If you’re truly fan of high elves, you should know this.

How dare you? The light has blinded your brain! :imp:

They are doing ALL of this now for a race of ugly elf-trolls, without history or culture, which no one asked for :woman_facepalming:t3:

If that happens, I’m never touching a single blizzard product ever again.

(but at least we’ll have proper closure…)
