Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race - 2024 (Part 1)

Well I didn’t want say the true reason as it is a sensitive topic. For Blizzard.

You just described Dnd Dark elves as they live underground. Blizzard could have made its so that there was darker skinned elves out there in Azeorth as there was alot of different Highborne tribes out there. Some vanished, some were killed by trolls or other races and some were killed by magical experiments gone horribly wrong.

Also for humans, as there was many Vrykul tribes that left Northrend 1000s ago in search of their gods. As Vrykul are the Humans ancestors and some could have been altered by the curse of flesh differently which gave them Black and Asian look etc. And bulit their own empires out there on Azeroth.

Well “now” it came up about the uniting the scattered elven tribes. Now they remember it days later.

*A lot of players don’t even know the lore, such as why the Blood Elves were banished, so this will be an opportunity to educate those folks about that part of the story and reveal them coming together.

Hmm what do Blizzard mean?? Blood elves were not banished in Warcraft 3. They fled through a portal that lead to Outland to escape their execution from Garithos, Well the Blood elves that was with Kael’thas fled to Outland. For them to be banished, the captors themshelves must release them. Unless they got the lore mixed up as it was the Highborne that got exiled/banished from Kalimdor as they wouldn’t stop practicing magic despite the druids told them to stop, in fear they would have a new Legion invasion. High elves/Blood elves are the children of those Highborne that got banished.

Of course they could have changed the lore again. Maybe a new chronicle is on the way.

Hmm what do Blizzard mean?? Blood elves were not banished in Warcraft 3

Perhaps Maria Hamilton misspoke. Just as show she said a “majority” of Silvermoon would be horde only, kill alliance on sight (last time I checked, 1/3 isn’t a majority).

I think she also said in the interview “But I can’t say that in Midnight proper you will begin that effort to bring the tribes back together.” when she meant to say “but I can say”

So maybe she meant to say “the void elves were banished” instead of “blood elves”

Either way, she either has to work on her english skills or Blizzard should find someone else to handle the information

Again?

Her english is fine…she just keeps getting the information wrong. Ion even had to go out for extra panel with the associate game director and apologies for the informaion keep getting all wrong.

But could be as other said she moved on to the next expansion and can’t remember everything for Midnight. If so why send her out there. But then again it was chaos for them at gamescon.

That would have made more sense.

Well I do like how they updated Quel’thalas and Zul’aman. And if they fix the Amani apperance would be great. And this “Uniting the scattered elven tribes.” So im hoping Midnight will be good.

I hope so too. Not sure who thought it would be a good idea to fuse a troll and an orc into one.

Well it might work as Amani are beefier than Zandalari and Darkspear but slightly shorter then them. Darkspear are taller than Amani if they could stand straight. Also since they use the Orc model/rig there is a chance the Male Amani can have their back straight. However they have the Darkspear Animations and stance as we saw on the clips like the Prey system the Amani there moved like the Darkspear. Hmm the female Amani is using the female orc stance. They could change that and make her stance be mirror image. I mean like sindragosa from dragonflight. She has both Blood elf features and Night elf features (Base it off the old High elf model that was remodeled Night elf in wow vanilla, same for Malygos in Dragonflight) yet the stance is like female Night elf. To make it look different from Blood elf stance.

But im very sure if they get the Nose right it would change their apperance alot.

Looking from behind of the Prey system. Now that looks like a beefy Amani troll.

However on the front…well The Amani looks like his face had been smashed in.

So if Blizzard just fix the nose Im sure it would fix the Amani’s appearance.

Feedback about The Midnight

As most of us The High Elf fans feel, I am also extremely disappointed and let down by this huge slap in the face from Blizzard. Imagine an expansion where all elves are united and yet The High Elves- SIlver Covenant are still not and will not be playable and completely excluded from this next expansion.

This has been the most requested playable race for more than twenty years and Blizzard continues to ignore it with stubbornness and disregard.

I want to say that I can no longer support this company, one I have been part of since 2004. I have stopped playing. And even if The High Elves are finally made playable someday, I believe I will not return this time.

I will not continue this topic any further, regardless of whether The High Elves are eventually added to the game. Anyone else is free to carry it forward, but it is clear they do not care about their player base, especially those who have been with them since the beginning and helped make this game possible.

Thank you to everyone who tried to voice their support for playable The High Elves.

That is all. Good luck.

Appreciate this.

Everybody who wants high elves has the options they need, I will be incredibly disappointed if they add blood elves to the game a third time rather than something creative and interesting.

To quote Asheru’s Boondocks intro “I’ll remain a soldier 'til the war is won”

I will continue to voice my support for playable high elves, and while I appreciate that void elves have customisations, I will keep campaigning for more customisations and class options or a high elf AR. Because right now, I still can’t play a high elf paladin that doesn’t turn purple

Great news, blood elves don’t turn purple, you can change their eyes blue.

Job done. Except now the issue will be that you don’t want to play horde, of course.

These replies are so boring.

I support these lads. highly requested race, along with Amani trolls should have been in ages ago.

Exactimundo! I just can’t play Horde, and I don’t like the aesthetic. I would enjoy the first 20 levels in a lush forest and an intricately made capital, but I’d spend the remaining 40-50 levels in spiked hovels. I’m not saying it’s worse than the alliance, it’s just not for me.

I want to play a traditional elf on the alliance, just as how Horde players during vanilla wanted to play a pretty race on the Horde. It’s only fair!

Join us among the ranks of Ren’Dorei then! Alleria a is such a good teacher, that we don’t even hear void whispers in the game! And with hair ending in tentacles, You won’t have to worry about split ends ever again!

Give the Void Elves pallies and some more high elf-themed customisations and I’ll consider the offer. I’m not being witty, here, this would work for me too

Do not follow the dark path of the void side !

Join up today and be part of the Blood elves ranks and serve the quel’dorei army ! The true high elves !

Fight against the void forces !

Sin’dorei citizenship guaranteed

So I should join up with the (former) fel-addicts instead :yum:

just because they will talk doesn’t mean they turn to friends. Vereesa and Umbric have done a lot of damage to the elves relations and it can’t be overstated enough that them following orders of their human overlords caused most of it.

The alliance never had a shortage of pretty races. That is the whole point once again ignored by high elf fanatics.

The alliance never had a shortage of pretty races

Ok. And?

The whole point of the Alliance is the fact that they’re pretty, civilised, and are humanesque. Just as how the whole point of the Horde is the fact that they’re noble savages or otherwise villainous races that are working towards redemption.

Hmm…I wonder, would Blizzard do that. Have Kael’thas return to Azeroth/Silvermoon? Well He is dead but if he did that would cause alot of conflict among the Blood elves since for some he is a traitor to the Blood elves (Sunwell patch) and some Blood elves still see him as a hero to their people. Not that I think he would but it would be “interesting” since Sylvanas is coming back and also that the army of the Light will cause trouble in Silvermoon later on in Midnight. Perhaps when the “Uniting the scattered elven tribes” patch happens, Kael’thas “might” show up in that patch.

Well first time YT DiscordianKitty sound reasonable. I don’t think she is Alliance, when hearing from her other videos. She seems more a Horde player.

Sure Thrall did not do much in war within, but he did…something even if it was short. Helped the Earthen find more of those Lightning gryphon and also in turn found a new Stormward … Lufsela.

Why Gazlowe said he owed Shaw was only because of Renzik “The Shiv” sacrificed himself for Gazlowe. And Shaw let Gazlowe be at Renzik’s funeral. But it also means there is no Goblins in the Alliance anymore.
