Philosophy
They are often characterized by the values of their ancient past, like honor, discipline, and a respect for order, but this is a diminishing culture.
I feel like no matter the lore or logic you present them with, they’ll ignore every single talking point you make.
If you counter anything with “Well, actually here is how they are different” it’s ripped apart with semantics and nonsensical self-biases.
The very notion that we have Pandaren that split up due to philosophical reasons shows that it’s an entirely plausible concept to have in game, and nullifies their entire argument.
As canonically it’s only the Pandaren from the Wandering Isles that we play as players, and they’re even fewer in numbers than the high elves.
High elves and blood elves are physiologically the same race, and the difference between high and blood elves is only political. When Quel’Thalas left the Alliance, some high elves chose to remain with their allies over their kingdom, and to this day still support the Alliance
However, a fraction of the high elves refused to rename themselves blood elves, and while they are physiologically the same race, the difference is only political. Unwilling to lead a divided nation, Regent Lord Lor’themar exiled from Quel’Thalas those who refused to follow the ways of the blood elves, while others chose to rejoin their former allies, arriving to a cold reception due to their previous secession. Since high elves did not gather in any significant numbers and are a very small group of individuals, they are a rare sight across Azeroth, and are commonly mistaken for blood elves.
You’ll have to read some of the articles to get to it.
You’ll find it back in the: Appearance section, Combat, magic and technology section and Troll Wars.
I note that the silver covenant used her rampage to kill as many sin’dorei as they could in an act of terror.
because the silver covenant is an extremists group of purists at best, traitors to their people at worst
I bring this up to answer the question.
I think he very specifically don’t want Vereesa or her group to return, as he was willing to extend a hand to Alleria before her touch of the sunwell summoned void creatures and despite hostility and distrust, one of her former high elven captains is currently acting as a sunwell ambassador of sorts in Silvermoon and he was willing to risk an alliance with the forsaken because their leader was Sylvanas.
Its not that he has something against the windrunner sisters, I am fairly certain he has something against Vereesa personally.
They were not this is correct, but its worth noting they did send priests to help arthas deal with the plague, but that is the extend as far as I remember
I believe the one in Loch Modan has one (if any) high elves and the onein the Hinterlands is the largest settlement/lodge of high elves on azeroth (at least in game)
And funny thing, the high elves in the Hinterlands stopped praticing magic, making them at least somewhat more distinct than most other groups of High elves.
Actually they did. Under the guise of of diplomacy the alliance sent a Dwarven spy who kept relying information to Darnassians who at the time spied and sabotaged Blood Elf efforts they deemed dangerous.
Garithos wasn’t killed by the alliance but Sylvanas. Stormwind and Ironforge both ignored his blatant racism cuz retaking Lordaeron for muh human potential was more important for the faction they treating their allies well. On the other hand Thrall killed Garrosh himself which proves we are set to make wrongs right and show our friends that we all stick together.
As did the Blood Elves who send emmisary to Theramore before they bombed with a blood elven made Manabomb.
In addition to that, someone above was disclaiming that anything in the starting zone counts anymore as it is set in tbc times.
Said spy that’s proclaimed to be one, is something a narrative the forsaken spun. The note was written in Darnassian. In addition to that, if you think there was I’ll will involved I can guarantee that there wouldn’t be any druids present.
Thrall was part of the Horde during Warlords of Dreanor but not it’s warchief.
Garithos was indeed killed by Sylvanas when she splintered free from the scourge that originally destroyed Quel’thalas and killed 90% of the Elves…
Nope the note we find in Darnassian Scouts was written in Dwarven. The Forsaken were not included in the quest. And there was ill will included as Night Elves tried to set up the network of spying towers and attempted to KILL a group of Blood Elves that walked into the area they planned to do so. They clearly weren’t there on peace mission and they also went ahead to WARN alliance about High and Blood Elves solely due to their dependence on Arcane Magic
They attack you and the group that was there after you deliver their plans to use leylines to power their scrying machines. They definitely didn’t mean to go peacefully. Also again none of the Forsaken were included in the quest
