Just to say about Night Elves and Arcane it’s kinda weird. While Tyrande was willing to Help Kael upon their initial meeting during WoW time the Night Elves decided to warn the Alliance about potential threat the High Elves/Blood Elves may become and made sure the Alliance knew of Highborne’s role in Legion’s invading Azeroth in the first place. I’d assume this is what Lead to Alliance stance on spying and surveying Blood Elves rather than actually helping them.
Then they go to recruit what Little Highborne were still around on Kalimdor which suggests that they got over their absolute distrust of Arcane. Yet during the Suramar Campaign the Night Elves and Tyrande constantly antagonize the Nightborne Rebels demanding their civilians fight on the front during the uprising and culminate with accusing their new leader of potentially becoming same as her predecessor and Azshara. That’s one big mess right there in the lore.
And Shandriss while not being Tyrande is still potentially much older than most other characters and nothing really shows she might be much more open minded.
The issue I have now with the High Elf fanatics is that if Sylvanas’ return was on the other side…if it was something that the Blood Elves, Nightborne and Horde Darkfallen had come up with, every Alliance fan would be going ape about it.
But since it’s Alliance High Elves, to me…Alliance High Elf fans are acting just like Vereesa and Arator:
They talk about her like she did some minor thing, as if her being punished is an inconvenience. But that’s just WoW I guess. Hope people don’t think this is realistic. Animosity and hate doesn’t just away like that. Forgiveness doesn’t come this fast. This is why Danath’s character in the previous patch was so weird, because it’s highly unrealistic and juvenile.
I just don’t believe the High Elf fanatics would do this, if Sylvanas’ return was at the behest of the Horde Elves
Yeah It would likely be a riot. Honestly makes me despise Shadowlands even more. First they turn Sylvanas into full blown genocidal monster (effectively Garrosh 2.0 even worse than the Big Guy himself). Then they effectively kill that character and bring back “Ranger General Sylvanas Windrunner of the Quel’dorei” and now Midnight brings that version back on the side of the Alliance brushing off everything as “That was Banshee Queen”.
Horde really bleeds out any decent characters wr had huh? Can’t wait to be stuck following and babysitting Alliance Heroes once again…
But the arguments that Halga and other High Elf fanatics are now presenting would not have been shown the same light if it was the Blood Elves or Nightborne who pushed for Sylvanas to make her return.
Hell, Vereesa says it herself: “Though few agree with me, I believe Sylvanas would help.”
So the mere idea that Tyrande, Shandris and those of the Night Elves would forget and let Sylvanas off is absolutely insane to me.
All to stave off any sort of infighting within the Alliance…I don’t see the problem with it. I think it’s actually needed.
I see the Anti crowd is making up scenarios in their heads and blaming the HE fans. Wild lmao
A shame when eventually this thread disappears your whole personality will be gone ahahaha.

But it is the High Elf fanatics who are essentially now, letting Sylvanas off the hook with her past actions, when I don’t believe they would let her off, if it was Blood Elves or Nightborne who pushed for her return.
The fact that it’s the High Elves who want Sylvanas to come back shouldn’t be ignored. Night Elf fans are, quite rightly, furious at whoever brings Sylvanas back…I don’t see why High Elves should be treated any differently than what Blood Elves or Nightborne would be treated as, if they vouched for Sylvanas to come back.
To me, you don’t the High Elves to suffer ANY consequences for urging Sylvanas to come back and that’s nonsense and completely, unbelievable. It reeks of Danath Trollbane in the recent Arathi questline.
As a High Elf fan, I want to see something more to the High Elf race, than just leeching off Blood Elves. I want to see them move around the Alliance races…making them bring Sylvanas back into the story, at the disgust of the Night Elves is a narrative net-positive, long term.
Hard to build when almost 99% of the HE “culture” and stuff are Blood elves’s
But the Blood Elves in Silvermoon aren’t pushing for Sylvanas to come back.
It’s distinctly, Alliance High Elves and Half Elves, who are wanting her back.
“And half elves” lol… there are litteraly 3 alived half elves : arator and vereesa kids and only arator is in the game
So what? Their could be 3 or 300 or 3000 or 30,0000.
The fact is, it’s the Alliance Elves who want Sylvanas back. Not the Horde Elves.
So, why should Alliance High Elves not be held accountable for wanting the destroyer of Teldrassil, to come back? Narratively, it sets up perfect infighting between the Alliance.
Sounds foolish I dont think Tyrande would agree

This is my point!
There should be no difference! Maria Hamilton has already said that we will see reasons why the Elves are divided. I don’t think this should just be seen as “divided between two factions.” I think it needs to showcase some internal issues, which the Alliance Elves would be more known for.
High Elves, under the Alliance, who want Sylvanas to return should face the same Night Elf scrutiny that the Alliance High Elf fanatics would demand to see, if it was Blood Elves and Nightborne who pursued Sylvanas and wanted her to come back.
EDIT:
Can you imagine if Thalyssra had gone to the Maw to recruit Sylvanas? Oh the rage from the Alliance playerbase would be off the charts.
Doesnt change fact that blizzard ll not add played HE until VE exist in the alliance.
They wont copy past the same race in the same faction
They wont copy past BE to implement HE.
They cant have other racial skills now they are closed to the sunwell and btw HE are allowed for pilgrinage.
Every BE racial skills fit perfectly to HE
That’s a “nothing” comment to me because it’s random to the original conversation.

Remember me the thread title?
It was everything to do with High Elves and people talk, rightfully, about any story plot points, that they are involved with…? So actually, this talk of High Elves potentially being the ones to recruit Sylvanas is relatable to this thread.
“Quel dorei as an alliance allied race” (playable)
And you re talking about storylines etc.
Off topic
High elves npc are lorewise already in the alliance
No, because story plot points shows us that the High Elves are still very much involved with the narrative and therefore, could become playable allied races.
The only difference is whether the High Elves should face the same sort of consequence to recruiting Sylvanas as the Horde Elves would have to, if they did the exact same thing.

The new playable race is Haranir. Midnight is sealed, no other playable race.
Can always come later on…and read the thread. Lore talk is heavily involved because that is the backing for playable High Elves
I just don’t want to see High Elves go without any consequence for this part of the story.
