Bliz will not add another race during an expansion
They never did and there is no reason to do that.
And for last titan… there is more chance to see another new class than race
And no enough relative between Northrend and HE
Bliz will not add another race during an expansion
They never did and there is no reason to do that.
And for last titan… there is more chance to see another new class than race
And no enough relative between Northrend and HE
Well they did…they added:
Mag’har
Mechagnomes
Vulpera
And only 1 of these were related to Kul’Tiras or Zandalar.
But why create a 3rd copy of elves?
Why create a 3rd copy of Dwarves?
Of course they wouldn’t be there. I mean about a week ago in the topic of conflicts between Alliance and Horde it was argued that Sylvanas was left off the hook and Night Elves were denied their justice. Now that High Elves try to bring her back it’s suddenly ok? Smells like double standards to me but alas. Blizz will not risk inner conflict in the Alliance. After all they’re too perfect for it.
The 3rd one is neutral
But ok let imagine in midnight s2 bliz introduce playable HE
What about horde?
Playable amanis? Not possible we know that its gonna be an unlockable customs for trolls
Same for HE? Already exist its called blue eyes and fair skins for VE
They should absolutely ignore that and actually make the story, make sense. There is no way that Tyrande or Shandris will be ok with Sylvanas coming back, just because it was Vereesa and Arator who wanted it…
Vereesa even states that only a few agree with her, about Sylvanas.
And to think that “those few” would include Tyrande or Shandris. It’s laughable.
High Elves should absolutely face the consequences for wanting Sylvanas back and that is internal. Alliance Elf internal conflicts have always been more believable because the Horde Elves are actually, far more united.
Having Sylvanas return at the behest of the High Elves should showcase some internal issues for the Alliance.
I just don’t think they should face no consequences from the Night Elves. It’s so unbelievable.
To be fair the copies at least hold large enough distinction between themselves and their “Parent” Races. Dark Irons have their extensive history of conflicts against Bronzebeards and Wildhammers and their subsequent fall under the control of Ragnaros. Their culture and history differs from the main Dwarves. And the same stays true for Earthen as much as it’s not something I’d admit easily or happily. They’re to Dwarves what Trolls or the Allied race from Midnight are yo Elves. The progenitor. Their culture differs from that of Dwarves as it’s much older yet not as refined due to relatively late awakening of their free will.
High Elves lack that. The only thing they don’t share with Blood Elves is their political allegiance and on the glance you won’t be able to tell them apart from Belves. Hell their alliance friends mix the two quite often.
This
Blizzard will not add a playable race only based on 2 different political allegiences
And because of the fact VE are playable HE cant be
In 2025, tww timeline, there is 0 difference between a HE and a BE except politics
Ironicaly and unfortunately … playable VE are more relevant to exist than HE…
And it hurts me to say that
@Kaiine
This is not necessary to discuss “why” about playable HE. We already know since vanilla that there are High elves in alliance by npcs and lore
The real question is
“How” add playable HE with the fact that
So now today you re the devs leader and tomorrow you have to add HE as playable race.
How?
I mean tomorrow then midnight
Which City for HE?
What racial skills? Must be different than BE and have sense
Leader?
Mount? There are already plenty of unicorns for everyone
For exemple the actual BE racial skills are the proof that BE are HE and have no more issue with drain addiction
Arcanes, arcanes, arcanes…and again
The actual arcane torrent works like : for control the thirst, the elve absorb magic around the character
no more mana tap so no absorbed lives since 3.0.2
fel or else referrence in BE racials
Shandaral in Northrend
Arcane Meditation - re-charge mana/rage/energy
Vereesa and/or Auric
Just use upgraded Unicorns.
Could have them in various colours from:
White
Blue
Light Purple
EDIT:
For classes, I’d go with:
Warrior
Priest
Hunter
Mage
Rogue
Death Knight
Monk
I would NOT include Paladin because Alliance Quel’dorei Paladins were and still are, a rare sight.
Atleast you re logic about paladin
One of and maybe the only one quel dorei paladin is now a blood elf : Mehlar Dawnblade
Whats the difference between arcane torrent and meditation?
And btw do you think they gonna copy what
did? Honestly
I’d make it a channelled spell…not instance like Torrent or Pulse (from Nightborne)
Either restore resources or make it instant and it grants a temporary haste buff, just like the Darkspear Trolls.
Problem is, mages have already such a thing like that
But why meditate?
HE are allowed to sunwell
In midnight HE are closed to Sunwell
Meditate HE means BE cant do that and means they still absorb lives what is wrong now.
What it pull us back to the main question
“Whats the difference between a BE and a HE?”
And so do Trolls, but it doesn’t really make much difference, long term because not everyone roles a Troll Mage now
What is the difference between a HE priest and a BE priest?
What is the difference between a HE mage and a BE mage?
There are answers if you replace HE by “VE”
I see no answers in these HE/BE questions
Same difference as their is between a Human Priest and Blood Elf Priest.
A Night Elf Mage and Blood Elf Mage
Because they are all pretty much the same
Humans are not the same race
Humans come from vrykuls we come from dark trolls
A night elf is a kal dorei of 2m
BE and HE are both quel dorei of 165-176cm
They are basically the same in practice.
Blood Elves pray to the Light in the same way Humans do.
As per Liadrin in the Midnight cinematic
You re mixing with faith now…
Are you sure do you want to follow this way?
Because with the blood knight card I can…
You dont get my question. I ll reask and add precisions
Are there enough differences between HE and BE to justify playable HE?
For exemple i can ask you
“Why a HE couldnt cast arcane torrent?”
Same questions for the 3 other BE racials
Answers is always " a HE can "
So HE = BE
That’s all subjective and one’s personal opinion. I think emphasis on Frost Magic and living in Northrend would be enough to make them playable.
On the outset - was their any difference between Night Elf Mages and Nightborne?
