No they are not. They are generic tolkien elves done so many times by other traditional fantasy games and stories. Nothing they bring isn’t already there in some other or even the same form. You only want them because the elves blizzard added in 2007 are on the faction you don’t like.

Question for my fellow elves out there, in which light do you view Valeera Sanguinar? I’m honestly intrigued 
Probably not because ultimately blizzard loves the status quo. I still find it fascinating and actually sad that in 20 or so years that passed in the Lore the High Elves are yet to achieve anything of note. No united leadership. No place to call their own. Instead scurrying around in human cities not unlike rats.
To be perfectly honest I know little about her outside of the fact she was apparently companion of Varian during his time as Gladiator and remained loyal to him.
At the same time unlike the other Elves within Alliance Sphere of influence she identifies as Sin’dorei and would on many occasions defend the decision of her people. All in all she seems decent.
