If the Horde renames itself “The new Horde”, you will still be accountable for what you did to the Night elves. Same for the Old Horde. The current Horde is litterally the heir of the Old Horde. And yes the Forsaken were under the Lich King control. A High elf who lost his entire family because of the forsaken will simply not care about this excuse.

If that’s any comfort I understand the sentiment even if I don’t see an actual way for it to be realized without either encroaching on Blood Elves and the Horde as adding High Elves, as identical copy of Blood Elves would effectively turn pure Thalassian Elves into shared race, or diluting the Void Elf Fantasy through pushing more High Elf style customization. Neither option being particularly appealing.
