void elves are disgusting blood elf rejects who fiddle with the void
high elves are pure,allied with humans and dwarves since forever and fight against the horde since vanilla
the only reason horde got blood elf is because marketing department surveys said so in tbc development
You’d be un happy about it if your main faction got a “Pulled out of thin air, never heard of them before” allied race added to your team.
And more on the allied race thing, recently horde got the Vulpera, a copy paste model, skin and in every way dead on arrival race added to them.
Where as the alliance got the glorious and super awesome mecha gnomes added and everyone is playing one, people love the new gnomes.
Oh… wait, no they dont.
Alliance was shafted with these two choices, people create void elves because they want the blood elf models. Given the choice, I’d recon 85% of those voidy people would change in a heart beat.
And have you even seen a mecha gnome in the wild? They are about as rare as the arachnoid harvester mount.
They were an alliance race until Garithos basically drove them out.
They joined the horde out of necessity, with some help from Sylvanas.
They were almost an alliance race again until Jaina purged Dalaran.
The majority of Belves/Helves (again, they are the same race) are with the horde because the alliance has shown them nothing but though love.
Actually the original High Elves depicted in game, even Sylvanas, used the Kaldorei model. The Blood Elf model was the original one for the playable race of Quel’thalas. This is why High Elf NPC’s use the Blood Elf model.
But that isn’t the question I asked you. Put aside Blood Elves from your mind for the moment, I was purely talking about High Elves here.
Yes your little friend linked it earlier, it has just over 400 active users and not all of those active users are advocating for shadowing out the Highly successful Void elves who are infact your real Alliance High elves, Be happy you got them. 
Cry me a river, always the Horde Bias tripe the Void elves are a huge success and VERy popular among Alliance players, it’s a case of get over it.

High elf support is pretty much dead since void elves got pale skin and blue eyes. Literally all people who could make blizzard listen with their platforms have left the bandwagon, and we are left with stragglers.

Its very popular, because its your only choice if you want the blood elf models. That is the sole reason for their success.
