Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race (Part 1)

no. High elves should be deleted, You don’t deserve the thalassian model.

Agreed, though also in the case of Male hairstyles I’d add that we need at least one below-shoulder length hairstyle that doesn’t have tentacles. When I envision a High Elf I always see them with long hair, usually blonde but any natural colour really.

The screenshot you added looks really nice. I still wish Blizzard would add High Elves as a separate option but if they insist on combining them I want to be able to fake it as close as possible, hence my name and guild.

Because you just keep parrotting “Silver Covenant! Silver Covenant!” You make absolutely no contribution of value to this thread, and are pretty much a prime example as to the sort of mentality that makes sure High Elves will never happen. You realise that, right? Your behaviour is making sure you will never get High Elves. Now if you tried something constructive, or some neat ideas, or you could just keep screeching “Silver Covenant! Silver Covenant!”

Up to you.

And that looks like a High Elf. Because it is. Sadly, Moontear won’t see it that way.

Don’t be so -ridiculous-. Honestly, this is pettiness and silliness taken to a next level. That is not Alliance Bias, and if you -do- flag it, which I doubt you actually will, I hope you get a stay on the Naughty Step for being so damned petulant and foolish, and abusing the reporting system.

Let us be absolutely transparent here, you have a very repellant posting history with some highly questionable views regarding people of skin colour and people who happen to be born female. You being reported neither surprises me, and reassures me that the system is working as intended.

If you already had them, then your entire thread is irrelevant. Surely the point is that you -don’t- already have them. Do make up your mind, please.

Not gonna happen as they won’t be unique at all. The idea of a Third Thalassian race is highly unlikely.

Unless… Blizzard introduces the idea of “Sub races” where they separate Wildhammer tattoos under a different racial name, then maybe.

But blizzard said in an interview that they aren’t thinking at all of doing sub races right now. Instead, they are just adding customizations to existing races like sand troll skin to Darkspear.

Yes it will. Trust the proceed blood elfie troll

yeah probably! highelves please

Void Elves by the transformation standards are even more sinister monstrosities than than Felblood Elves were. Sargeras Created the Burning Legion to oppose the advancement of the Void.

Which would make Felblood Elves or current Illidari perfect natural enemies. Hell even during Void Elf attack on Zuldazar, Horde deployed Warlocks to combat that menace.

From purely technical point of view Blizzard’s backtracking to give Void Elves normal look is questionable. You don’t see the same treatment among Lightforged Draenei who take their new appearance with pride.

It is as if Void Elves were embarrassed of their new look. But none of them has shown the sign of it.

And no. They are not the same thing as Alleria. She swallowed entire Darkened Naaru. Such a pro she is. Velen in AU Draenor had to kill himself to puryfy one and it took multiple Magisters to keep M’uru in check and distribute it’s power to entire Blood Knight Order.

Alleria took whole thing by herself. Even if Rommath swallowed entire Fel Green Burning Crystal by himself it still would be a small feat in comparison to what the eldest Windrunner has accomplished.

But I see irony in it. Remember the TBC cinematic where Belf Priestess turned Mana Wyrm into just Mana? That was one of the main reasons why so many High Elves left Quel’thalas.

Alleria did the same thing thousandfold more strong. She ate the living thing long after Blood Elves have dropped this practice.

Standard Void Elves were unfinished product of Duurzan’s attempt to turn them into Etheral kind of things. Whole process was different. Which means their mutations significantly differed from Alleria’s look.

But if there is a lore explanation then I would say it might be Void’s natural ability to camouflage. It hides itself perfectly revealing it’s true nature only when needed. Which gives Void Elves even more sinister appeal.

They may look normal. They may act normal. But at the proper moment, when for example their lives are threatened, then their monstrous true face shows up.

And more gameplay reason for it? Blizzard gave them some normal skins just to make High Elf fanbase something to finally make them go quiet. But only added oil to the fire.

This whole Alliance fixation displayed by vast minority of the High Elves started with Alleria. And it is only adequate that through her this new brand of Elves was introduced. And hilariously she ushered this by doing the Signature Blood Elf thing.

Rommath would be PROUD.

Sin’dorei and Ren’dorei are unified as a people and stick with each other.

High Elves are so scattered that it baffles me how they even exist to this day.

You’ve got homesick stubborn ones represented by Auric Sunchaser. They make Pilgrimage to the Sunwell and bask in it’s glory.

You’ve got Silver Covenant. Organization formed solely for one purpose. And it is to oppose Blood Elves in every aspect of their lives. I mean you have to be quite a miserable form of life if Spite is your only motivation.

Then you’ve got Dalaran High Elves. Although by this point you either have Sunreaver Blood Elves of Silver Covenant High Elves. I don’t think there are neutral Quel’dorei there. Not after Telestra’s little betrayal and Jaina’s later Purge.

Quel’danil High Elves who with their style of life resemble more Night Elves with this non-magic policy and living in wilderness.

And finally some single npc models here and there in places like Stormwind for example.

reading head canon from blood elfies is my favourite pasttime

Name me a single event that Silver Covenant did and Blood Elves were not involved.
Quel’delar? Zul’aman? Purge of Dalaran? Isle of Thunder? Liberation of Suramar?

Every action SC took was reactionary to what Blood Elves were doing. While High Elves represented by Auric Sunchaser are friendly toward Sin’dorei, Silver Covenant is made of High Elves totally anti-Blood Elf oriented.

And because of that all SC moves were directed towards Belf ones. I suggest you read Tides of War: Jaina Proudmoore where Vereesa clearly states that she created Silver Covenant simply to reject Sunreaver admission into Kirin Tor.

What does all this gotta do with Blonde hair for Void elves?

We get it: High elves are bad and boring, blood elves are good and amazing. I’ve heard this many times from another Blood elf poster.

My main issue here is asking for Blonde hair. That’s it. Blizzard already gave us natural skins, I don’t see a reason as to why we can’t get a blonde hair color like Alleria. You turn Voidy during combat anyway so let’s not act like the “void” flavor is not there along with the messy hairstyles.

Plus there are new High elf students that are learning the Void in Telogrus:

Locus-walker:

“fascinating.”

“I sensed that change was destined for Alleria Windrunner, but I did not anticipate that her kin would undergo a similar transformation”

He says this while teaching the High elf students.

This is why we got natural skin and this is why we are getting Blonde hair.

It means that Void Elves are not High Elves. Blizzard already did you a great service by going all the way to make them look different and then backtrack from it by giving common appearance option.

Although despite all of this. They still managed to keep Ren’dorei from being Sin’dorei 2.0 by creating this illusion of normality that slips through thanks to their hair, and that ominous Void presence during combat.

Just like Nightborne are not Night Elves although they were changed by mere arcane energy emanating from eye of Aman’thul and did so over centuries, yet do have some similarities to them. Void Elves were mutated almost instantly and would go even further if Duurzan wouldn’t be stopped.

Alleria, wasn’t captured by opening the Cube. She ate a Naaru. Umbric and his lot were being transformed forcefully by completely different being. Similarity comes from the very energy that mutated both Alleria and Umbric. But the way it was done is completely different.

They are Void spawns now and giving them Blood Elf look is completely opposite to what they are supposed to be. Beings with otherwordly presence to them. So if they will ever get more customizations, they should be focused on the Void part of their nature. Not normal one.

as ive said many times, the Hairstyles can stay. All im asking for is one natural hair color, similar to Alleria (who by the way is a Void elf, and the racial leader too along with Umbric).

not all of them. Have you not seen the example of new void elves i provided above? its 100% obvious, but some horde players try to ignore this fact and turn it into something its not. even though the fact is 100% clear as day. This explains why we got natural skin.

Nobody asked for Blood elf stuff. I literally want a Blonde hair color like Alleria (A Natural skinned void elf). The hairstyles will remain the same.

Those NPCS are not Void Elves. Not yet at least. Just like you do not have not-mutated Felblood Elves, just like don’t have unchanged Lightforged Draenei. So too you do not have unaffected Void Elves.

Void just like Fel is highly corruptive. And Every Void Elf from the start has his or hers fate already sealed because to the end of the universe they will have to combat whispers in their heads that can lead to madness.

Blizzard gave you option to make your Void look more subtle. The fact people jumped on it as started treating it as “High Elf substitute option” is just sad truth. For all those many customizations that were given with the pre-patch I am sure the blonde hair were no overlooked by the staff when expanding Void Elves.

According to Locus Walker, they are already in the process of becoming Void elves the same way Alleria did.

its because Blizzard themselves literally labelled it as such. There was a interview where they said they talked long and hard about it, but For now they are giving us the option to have a few High elf customization.

have you not noticed Shadowlands theme?

Sand and Dark troll skin for Darkspear?
Highborne eyes for Night elves?
Wildhammer Tattoos and feathers for Bronzebeard dwarves?
High elf skin and eyes for Velf?

I love what they are doing! Gives us so many possibilities for customization, Role-play, and other stuff.

Blue post suggested that Void Elves inherited Blood Elf skin colors. There was no indication to High Elf. Because everything that is High Elven is Blood Elven by simple concept.

Blizzard cannot make Void Elves any further natural without taking Blood Elf uniqueness. They were made Void Elves and not High Elves for a reason. This is why they specificly didn’t go blonde on the matter because this is the hair color most associated with Blood Elves. In the very first artworks they were introduced as such.

Preventing Void Elves from such option just for mere sake of not giving them any greater similarity to Belves is a good one.

Honestly all im asking for is one hair color, not all of them. You know if it was up to blizzard they would just copy paste the whole hair colors over.
so what Im asking is not selfish at all.

Alleria Windrunner is my favorite character and as a Void elf im happy to be under her leadership. I also wish to look like her (which is why im farming the Green set in Nighthold).

Anyway, im 98% almost identical to Alleria. All im missing is Blonde hair, and i will finally get to look like my favorite hero. (I dont even care for the tattoos).

Why should i be stopped to fulfil my dream for the sake of “uniquness”. Almost all races have Blonde hair.

and at least we have some differences, unlike the Pandaren who have 0.

Is it a crime to ask for one hair color? The hair color of our beloved leader?

Now with the customization and all, why is this thread still up? Are people still arguing about this? Let this die lol

Warcraft “High” elves wish they were a fraction as majestic as Warhammer or even Lord of the Ring’s High Elves.

“High” is unbefitting of their status. They are Lost Elves, with no purpose. No settlements, no contribution to the story.

They just stand there occasionally in Alliance questing zones. Doing nothing. Wondering why they exist.

Just wanted to correct you there.
