Nope, but lore does. The High Elves had a rich background and have been seen in the game since, well, forever really.
I don’t think we’ll ever get them, however, because we got the Void Elves. It’s a damn shame, and I’d rate it as one of the most stupid things Blizzard has ever done. Because the Void Elves are a thing now, but they barely even have the story to justify their existence.
The problem is this mindset:
The story is the distinction. To be fair, normal Dwarves actually had customization options for Dark Iron Dwarves. You could choose grey-ish skin, and when doing so the eye colours on the face options would change from blue/green/brown to red/orange. I find the Allied Races’ version of the Dark Iron Dwarf to be extremely exaggerated. “I am different from a normal Dwarf because my hair is on fire.” Looks cool? Myeah… also looks kinda stupid.
As for myself: I’m not sure I want High Elves. I’m not sure I want more High Elf options for Void Elves. What I wanted was to get High Elves from the start, not this Void Elf abomination. I don’t think they would ever replace Void Elves with High Elves, because there are a lot of people who actually likes them.
You can’t have an allied race for an allied race. They said at the start of legion with the allied race content release that the alliance races will be sub races to the already existing race options like it was with the lightforged, maghar, zandalari, kultiran etc. Giving the alliance the same race again but with different voice is just ridiclous.
I can imagine the reactions when the alliance get a copy paste elf race which they already have while the horde will get another shiny new race. If anything that would reduce the alliance playerbase even more when they start to get the same races, after seen the countless whining when they get the same horse mounts at the start of bfa.
When the high elf circle jerk posts will contain more than the same 3 lunatic spamming here maybe someone will start take it seriously.
Okay. You managed to replied 3 times without any reason why should blizzard introduce the SAME race the third time into the game. The only thing you managed to say is react to my comment and get triggered, so i gave up you are not worth my time anymore.
Actually no there aren’t. There are High Elves who are -part- of the Silver Covenant, certainly, the dominant part, unarguably, but there are also a few humans and a Gnome or two who are Silver Covenant (So pretty much like the Sunreavers, where there are non Blood-Elf members)
But yeah, the Silver Covenant is a political grouping, not a species or race. The race you keep failing to ask for correctly is ‘High Elves’
That doesn’t actually make any linguistic sense, can you try to unpack that from what it means in your mind, so that it makes sense?
Oh so you want Paladins as well.
Well, I think we can tell how seriously to take your wishes.
As in. Not at all seriously.
Yes, because every other playable race gets an option to look like the racial leader, don’t they? Actually, wait I think Darkspear can look similar to Rok’han, but that’s about it.
Err, you wot? There was no High Elf customisation. Reason being that they are not a playable race. Blood Elves got Blood Elf customisation, Void Elves got Void Elf customisation. There are no High Elves to get customisation…
Where are you drawing this from? I mean your conviction is admirable, but I cannot find any source indicating that this is even likely, in fact only sources saying that there are going to be no new Allied races, so where are you getting this from?
There are numerous reasons, and they have been pointed out to you numerous times, just that you will not listen.
Do you know, you are possibly one of the biggest reasons why High Elves will not happen on Alliance in the EU forums. You don’t listen to anyone, have no actual ideas of your own, think that all High Elves are Silver Covenant, and are embarrassing to people that actually want High Elven customisation so that they can play a Void Elf that looks like a High Elf.
You know people link your stuff when asked why Void Elves shouldn’t get more Blood Elf stuff right?
You are making it pretty much a de facto certainty, That Void Elves are not going to get more Blood Elf stuff, and therefore no one is going to end up happy.
At this point I am starting to wonder if you actually want High Elves, or if this is a very cunning ‘long game’ approach to making sure that they never happen, because you are doing a pretty effective job of that, making sure no one takes the HIgh Elf cause seriously…
Do you know that the Blood elves actually ARE highelves? Do you know why are they called Sin’dorei? They called themselves SIN’DOREI after the fall of the Sunwell.
Please at least read something before you type, you are pathetic fool nothing more.
