Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race (Part 1)

yes highelves, such as silver covenant for e.g.

Did somebody say [Highelves as allied race]?

I would definitely play them for sure. Love for highelves! :smirk:

Expect highelves playable such as silver covenant highelves, in next expansion.

Or this expansion even :innocent:

That would actually makes sense. Since that could happen in the end of shadowlands

You already have two playable high elf races…

They are not highelves anymore. Blood and void elves, we ask highelves playable

let me rephrase, in a question. Are the lightborn Draenai not Draenai?

Yes they are as two separated races.

You are missing my point are lightborn Draenai intrinsically not Draenai because of being lightborn

They are same yet in game two separated races

Then how are the void elves not high elves if the distinction is only in the game?

By your draenei logic elves are all the same.

Its simple, we ask playable highelves such as silver covenant highelves, which are alliance faction highelves as npcs, not yet playable.

We want Silver Covenant Highelves >:|
Because they have blue eyes and blonde hair >:|

Silver Covenant Highelves are not identical to Blood Elves because they are Silver Covenant Highelves.

No, we ask highelves playable such as silver covenant highelves BECAUSE:
Lore
Character customization
Faction
Racial
Name Tag, ect

A Night Elven alternate form (Alpha Prime foreveeeeeeeer :fist:) would be nice and tail option for Worgens!
But sadly we have as much chance to get those as Alliance have to the High Elves
I feel you bro’ (or sis’)

Try switching it around and being a bit more optimistic, “High Elves, such as Highvale Elves” or “High Elves, such as we see in the Seventh Legion!”

Constantly going on about the Silver Covenant sounds a bit like that really clingy Ex that you would hope had got the message, but never quite did…

Just say “I want High Elves!”

As long as Horde get Gnolls, I would be happy with this. Please Gods, do not give us Ogres, I know they would be the logical parallel to High Elves but please Gods no…Give us Gnolls, the model skeleton is in game and you could do wonderful things with them, and they even have a reason to Join the Horde, or at least, to dislike the Alliance!

I mean the Optimism is cool, but uhh, what are you basing that on? What are the Horde getting in the next expansion then?

No it wouldn’t? I mean sure, make High Elves playable on Alliance, but how on earth do you reach that conclusion, that the end of Shadowlands would be a chronologically good time for High Elves to become playable? What precise impetus or reason is there?

Actually you are not lore correct there. Or rather, are 50% correct.

Void Elves arguably are their own thing, as their very bodies have been mutated, right down to a cellular level (Check out the colour of their blood, they sure as heck ain’t Thalassian Elves anymore) Whereas Blood Elves and High Elves are identical.

I can call myself a Frenchman. It doesn’t change the fact that I am an Englishman.

So whilst those Elves loyal to Quel’thalas will -call- themselves Blood Elves, there is no actual distinction from those who joined Quel’thalas’ enemies and call themselves High Elves.

Not a single jot of difference.

Good question.

Very good question in fact. We know that it does not change them in a purely biological term, in the way that Void Elves are different from Blood/High Elves, but it does seem to have some effect. If we look at it that way, then equally Turalyon is no longer Human.

I’d say they’re probably more like a Cult who all take religious steroids.

It ain’t -natural- but it doesn’t change what they actually are…

Blizzard, like many fantasy settings, do not use the word ‘race’ correctly. For example “Elves and Humans are two separate races” is incorrect. The correct term would be “Elves and Humans are two separate -Species”

If you want to use the word ‘race’ correctly, then Zandalari and Darkspear are two Separate -Races-, because they are the same Species, but distinct enough that there are visible indicators. Blood Elves and High Elves are -not- Separate Races, because the only difference is politics.

Well, broadly speaking they kind of are? They are all the same Species or Genus, with as mentioned the possible exemption of the Void Elves whose cellular structure has been ‘altered’ but even then, that is more a mutation caused by external influences, so they’re not exactly the same, but started out the same. An External influence that alters someone during their lifetime is a mutation or similar factor, it does not alter their basic Species unless it becomes a dominant strain passed down through siring or carrying children.

We currently have no evidence that Void Elves are even fertile, and let us pray Blizzard never touch on that subject, because nothing that has lived in a womb for nine months with the Void infused Blood of its mother forming it’s mind is going to be something the world needs to see.

I know right?

This is getting a little bit creepy now…

They must have Blue Eyes! And Blonde Hair!

Ummm…

Thats fair enough, we know they exist, we know they are dying out, but that is going to take thousands of years to effectively happen, by which point none of us posting here are rightly going to be in a place to care about it.

So long as you are willing personally to field the torrent of complaints that Alliance posters make when they scream about Horde getting something unique as an Allied race I see nothing wrong with this scenario.

Playing the Outcast Traitor can be fun, heck yeah, why not?

Only one poster in this thread actually came up with an idea for a High Elf racial, and I will give you a clue, you’re reading his words now, I don’t recall you having any actual ideas about making Quel’dorei playable whatsoever, even when expressly asked. Perhaps you can now…

Meaningless.

That doesn’t matter in the slightest unless you think that your character walks around Azeroth with their name in neon blue over their head.

we want Silver Covenant Highelves!!!111!!!11

As I’ve mentioned many times, it appears the majority of High elves fans are happy with Natural skinned void elves, apart from the minority like the OP who want a specific group of High elves such as the Silver covenant (as if they are their own race, hint: they are not)

However, many of these fans who are happy with natural skinned void elves do want a few natural hair colors to complete the High elf look.

Meanwhile, most Void elf fans (who use Void skin) just want stuff that make the race more gothy, dark, and edgy. Something like Black hair.

So perhaps there could be a common ground, as Black hair is considered both natural and dark/edgy. Both sides would be happy I think.

I consider myself as both a Void elf fan and a High elf fan (I use both skins depending on the class). So I try to act as a bridge to find common grounds between both groups.

I think, black hair color is a step in the right direction.

i will think about this daddy.

Nerf on racials.

Just a thought. Because we will escape maw, maybe Sylvanas will lead Sanlayn…so there could emerge two more allied races, highelves and sanlayn.

and paladins

?? they are pretty much alive…and doing well.

not meaningless, it’s very important.

A lot of people want them playable, so?

anyway posting some great ideas from mmo champion highelf topic. :arrow_heading_down:
