They only showed 5 for the cutscene. There could have been more.

Only a few blood elves was shown in the cutscene too, does that mean blood elves only have 5 soldiers? No.

If you go to Zul’Aman you will see 24 Silver Covenant Rangers. The same number of the blood elf Rangers in that area

yeah i know i just wish they should show off the numbers haVe them all stand at gate of Suramar :stuck_out_tongue:

Well the High elves only focused on defeating the legion. They don’t really care about the Nightborne lol

Thats why i ran around killing High Evles as Ghoul during SL prepatch event revange is sweet

I love the Prepatch! It showed the High elves being active even in Shadowlands.

They have been active almost every expansion aside from WOD.

Thanks!

Even when void elves get more customizations, highelves such as silver covenant highelves are welcome as playable allied race

Interesting… What did they say? I wanna check out if Blood Elves are actually -getting- as many unique customisations as they originally promised, or if Nightborne are getting -any-.

“High Elves”

Fixed that for you. Silver Covenant are just one group of High Elves.

It is a tautology otherwise. High Elves would automatically include Silver Covenant, as the Silver Covenant was formed by a group of High Elves. Don’t ask for a Subgroup, ask for the -race-. Especially as not all Silver Covenant are High Elves, just like not all Sunreavers are Blood Elves. (Actually that would be an interesting character concept for RP, playing a non Elven Sunreaver)

-If- they make High Elves a new Allied Race, it will be interesting to see if their starting zone is the one I suggested in this thread, the ‘Greenwald’ area that is accessible in game but not used for anything (I think Jakafo linked some screenies of it) that borders Quel’thalas and Eastern Plague Lands.

They could counter this by giving the Horde the Allied Player race of Gnolls, based out of Badlands, to ensure parity of zones on Eastern Kingdoms. I know it will probably end up being damned Ogres, which are the parallel of High Elves, as in they are ‘in the faction but not playable’ but a man can dream…

Gnolls would be so much cooler than Ogres…

I don’t see high elves coming to wow and even if they did then they will be neutral like pandarean .meaning they will be will be free either to join horde or alliance based on personal preference

yeah i know that’s why i said “such as”, not like SC high elves?

This faction would require least development to make them playable.

horde pretty much want sanlayn elves:)

“This is just the beginning for our character customization, I’m sure there will be more hair styles and eye colors, different things that we add throughout the course of what we’re learning from what people want in the community as a result of that.”

So be sure to ask for the stuff that you want to see for Blood elves. They said they are taking notes from the community on what they want to see.

Blood elves with blue eyes are high elves.

We got High Elves with Shadowlands.

Originally Blizzard said that Blood elves would not be getting Blue eyes because it doesn’t make sense. Now they gave it for freedom of choice I guess. Because when they announced it Blood elf fans went crazy and angry that they were not getting blue eyes. So within two weeks it was announced that both factions would get them.

i also remember back when wowhead announced Purple eyes thet only showed it on a void elf, so everyone assumed it was a new custimization for void elves only and the forums exploded with angry comments from Blood elf avatars. one hour later wowhead updated the post to say that both void elves and blood elves will get purple eyes.

just a few examples to show how jelous blood elf fans can get

Just say High Elves. It is more likely to garner some success than trying to narrow it down. Blizzard aren’t actually stupid, they do know that the Silver Covenant are largely High Elven (Almost totally, realistically) and that there are High Elves in the Seventh Legion, and High Elves at Highvale. Don’t narrow it down, that will diminish the likelihood of you getting them. Aim for the whole deal, which is -High Elves-, that way you can choose what flavour of High Elf you go for, and doesn’t make it so niche, which would make it more likely to be released as an option. You don’t need to specify “Such as SC elves” Everybody knows what a High Elf is!

I had my Goth phase in my 20’s. San’layn elves would bring nothing to the table at all. “They’re like Elves, but they suck the life force out of people!” “So…like a Blood Elf can then?” “They dress in spooky black” “So…like a Blood Elf can then” “They’re Undead, Whooooo!” “So like a Blood Elf Death Knight then?”

What is their unique gig again? Because I am struggling to find anything that makes them appealing…

Blood Elves already have the “Can suck your energy out of you, wear black and can be undead” thing nailed thanks.

No to San’layn. That would be dull as heck. And pointless. Given that after the Alliance War Campaign during BfA the San’layn are now definitely, definitely all destroyed.

Lanesh the Steelweaver says Hi! As do the Sunreaver mobs who spawn during the Purge of Dalaran, who have blue eyes, and are definitely Blood Elves…

No. Bad Jakafo. Ion said that. Ion has admitted he is not a Lore guy. Lore people reminded him that blue eyed blood elves had in fact been in place since WotLK, so before he took up his position. He doesn’t know the lore, and in fairness, he doesn’t have to. His focus is on different aspects of the game, so we can’t expect what he says to be true, when it comes to things that he is talking about, that he doesn’t actually know anything about.

It would be like asking me how to knit a jumper. I know what a jumper is. I own several. I know how to put a jumper on “But how do you knit a jumper Brigante?” "Umm, I know you need two knitting needles and some…wool, and you kind of click them together, with wool attached, like chopsticks, but with both hands, and then you uhh, change direction once you’ve finished one sleeve, and do the body bit? "

That is Ion when asked a lore question.

Wowhead is not a Blizzard source. They’ve been wrong plenty of times, and were wrong this time too. They linked a lot of things that most of which just were not true…but were NPC colourations. Given the chronology of events, the idea that somehow Blizzard looked at Wowhead and went “Damn, we better give Blood Elves that stuff as well” in the space of an hour is fairly unrealistic, don’t you?

Whoah whoah whoah.

You don’t get to talk about how jealous people posting on certain avatars can get, when your set of demands are all about customisations so that your race can look like a different race.

That’s just cheeky, cheeky and misleading.

Come on, I expected better from you.

Alliance will get High Elves once the faction war ends. I shall walk into stormwind with open arms, void elves with blonde hair will gaze upon us in awe and jealously.

Yes, that day shall come, once upon a time.
