Sorry but it’s true. Watch how when we get Blonde hair they will come crying in the forums. Don’t say I didn’t tell you
And I have been nothing but Reasonable.
There are people like the OP who suggest High elf as it’s OWN race.
There are people who suggest ALL the hair colors, Hairstyles, Paladins, demon hunters, Silvermoon.
My suggestion is ONE thing (Alleria Blonde), and I constantly get attacked by Blood elf avatars. So really, there is no point being reasonable with them. I will start to be as greedy as the OP because that is the only way you can win with these people
I’m DONE being nice. I’m DONE asking for small things. Anti-Helves don’t deserve it.
Because the term “silver covenant” not a race, nor political or philosophical idea, but just an organization, it like calling the Blood Elves Kaelists or Void Elves Umbricists…
By official description, The Silver Covenant is a militant faction of high elves led by Vereesa Windrunner.
But worse, the Silver Covenant is NOT Quel’dorei exclusive!
First, Jaina is/was its member…
Coira Longrifle is a Dwarf
Inzi Charmlight is a Gnome
Laire Brewgold, Stefen Cotter, Bradford Duncan, Derek Odds and Katherine Lee are… ugh… Humans!
Moonbell is a Night Elf…
That statement isn’t true either way you interpret it. Not all of them are High Elves, and they are not a High Elven race, they are a High Elven organisations. The race that the majority (but not all) make up are called High Elves, or Quel’dorei in their own tongue. Not all of whom are Silver Covenant… I don’t get what is so difficult to understand about this. It is like keep saying “High Elves such as Highvale Elves” “You could just say High Elves you know?”
I’m almost exalted with the Silver covenant and I must say they seem the most “playable” version of all the Highelves.
They are active almost every expansion
They have their own ground and flying mount
Own tabard
Own flag (which is the blue high elven flag)
They seem hateful towards the Sin’dorei
I can go on and on.
Perhaps OP is just saying Silver covenant because she likes how relevant they are. Most other groups of High elves only show up for one or two expansion and that’s it, then there isn’t much story to them compared to SC high elves
No! That is not right. You don’t want something -like- them! You want -Them-. You want High Elves. You don’t want something -like- High Elves. You already have that playable on Alliance. You want High Elves.
I’m trying to get you to understand here that by diluting your request, you are reducing the seriousness with which it could be taken. You don’t want something -like- High Elves of the Silver Covenant. Because Blizz can just go “You already have them, you’re welcome” and point at the normal skin colour Void Elves. They’re like Silver Covenant High Elves, in that they could look identical to a dark haired one (And it may astonish people to know, but High Elves are not all blonde, but do come in dark haired versions too…)
That isn’t what you want though. You want -actual- High Elves. Not “High Elves ‘Like’ the Silver Covenant” Just “High Elves!”.
I don’t understand what is so hard to get here. The thing that you want, is to be able to play High Elves on the Alliance side, which you can then choose, via transmogs and items to make look like a Highvale Ranger, a Member of the Silver Covenant, a soldier of the Seventh Legion, a member of the Kirin Tor.
Stop with this "like the Silver Covenant’ or “Such as the Silver Covenant” Because then the answer is “You already have them, now shut up. Go give your Void elf human coloured skin and get the Silver Covenant Tabard, Job done”
No, they’re just the most visible presence, or are we going to see threads in the future asking for different types of High Elves? Just ask for High Elves and play Silver Cov? I really don’t get the difficulty here. You know that Blood Elves and Sunreaver Blood Elves are the same race, right?
Lets be fair, they are chucked at any sniff of plot that Blood Elves get, with the exception of WoD. Blood Elves can’t get plot without those naughty exiles clinging on their coat tails!
Weird one that, as you say that, and I always presumed it was true also, and yet we never see Silver Covenant using them outside of the Argent Tournament. Even their -Leader- uses a Night Elf mount, which by the way makes -no- sense. Forget the Blood or High bit, Thalassians went through the same exile by the Night Elves.
Which is in game, yes.
Yes, they do?
I’d go further and say “They are an organisation of War Criminals who tortured and murdered innocent civilians of their own race based on political disagreements”, rather than just ‘hateful towards the Sin’dorei’ but sure, that works too.
Dangerous precedent to set, that…you never want to shackle the request for an Allied race to an especial group when you have no idea of their future. Silver Covenant only get exposure when Blood Elves do. They never show up in game otherwise. Sooner or later, the finite number of Silver Covenant left, will be dead, if they keep trying to play keep-up with Big Brother Sin’dorei.
Besides. What is the Silver Covenant Story really? Violent War Criminals led by a woman who made some -very- questionable lifestyle choices when it came to their husband, who almost chucked the Silver Cov under the bus just to go and live with big sister, and whose husband themselves had made a -VEEERY- questionable advance towards an Elven lass of a certain age best defined as ‘You’re going on a register Rhonin’.
The Highvale elves actually have more lore than the Silver Covenant…wierdly enough.
I mean, Give people options, is what I mean. Don’t limit it, thats crazy talk.
You mean that one location in Crystalsong? Which is where originally the Argent Tournament grounds were supposed to be placed until they reasoned that having that -and- Dalaran in the same zone would crash it? Yeah. Unsurprisingly they have them there as well, same as the Blood Elves have Sunreaver specific mounts for the same exact reason…
Yeah but the sunreaver mounts are just the regular blood elf mounts with a different color. It’s still a hawkstrider
And dragonhawk
The Silver covenant have a Quel’dorei steed which looks like a unicorn. Meanwhile the flying mount is a Hyppoghraph. Something not traditionally used by the blood elves. The silver covenant are developing their own culture due to being away from Silvermoon, yet still keep some attributes of their old culture like worshiping the sun.
Well, could it be that it’s the Blood Elves who are developing into a new culture and trying to distance themselves from their High Elf criminal kin?
I mean, the Warhorses dwelled near the original Well of Eternity, which suggests they could have been used by the Highborne Night Elves and they ride Hippogryphs - another mount relative to the Night Elves.
I’d say, if we’re looking at drastic changes, Blood Elves are the race doing that…not High Elves.
In regards to the Topic, I find it odd that we need to ask for a new Thalassian race, which Blizzard have already given that customization to a already existing race.
If you think about it, we already have High elves it’s just that they are missing a few hair color customizations. Thats it. Which can be added later on.
Blizzard said they gave the Shadowlands customizations as a way for YOU to choose your own story. The game won’t call you a “Wildhammer”. The game won’t call you a “sand troll”. The game won’t call you a “High elf”, but YOU make the decision. That’s what they said. No one can tell you otherwise.
