Yes, they are
What, according to Moontear, are the physical differences between high elves and blood elves?
was voice and eye color, now since blizzard 's pet faction cried loud they received alliance highelf eye color options. So it’s only different voice left.
Since when eye and voice are part of physical difference Moontear?
it was long time ago i learned this, but we -night elves know a lot.
Sadly, when you’re isolated for thousand of years…and starving, it really affected your kind XD
Voice is an issue, albeit a small one. I can live without it, but an option to talk like a proper high elf would be nice. Ngl. I usually do my talking through text, though, and the in-game voice actors don’t really represent what I imagine my characters to sound like. They’re more a flavour feature. If it was absolutely needed, voices could be an option, similar to racial traits, choosable from either the barber, or the same way Zandalari choose their racial abilities.
Both blood and high elves have canonically always been able to have both blue and fel green eyes. Fel green was just very common among blood elves, for natural reasons, and similarly, rarer, but not unseen, among high elves. Outland high elves canonically had fel green eyes.
So that leaves us with voices. Is that really enough to warrant a separate playable race? In my opinion, it’s really not. All we need is high elven hair colours and a few hair styles for void elves. High elf voices and racial abilities can be added on to void elves eventually, if Blizzard feels the demand truly warrants it.
Yes, and not only this. name tag, paladin highelves, lore, logging screen background, racials
High elven paladins were always rare. Logging screen disappears once logged in. High elf lore is high elf lore, and won’t go away even though high elves become playable through expanding on the options for void elves.
I think at this stage it pretty much is just ‘You’, not ‘We’.
The model playable was made for the playable race of Blood Elves. The Silver Covenant did not even exist lorewise at the time, as there would have been no reason for Vereesa to form it. Because the Blood Elves were not yet in the Horde, do you see? The Blood Elves do not start off TBC as members of the Horde, the very starting quests walk you through the process as to why and how they became Horde. The Silver Covenant were not in existence at that time, because there was no -reason- for them to exist. Honestly, I don’t know how you can claim to want Silver Covenant when you don’t even know their lore!
-When- the Blood Elves joined the Horde, the Horde therefore had a presence in Dalaran in the form of the Sunreavers. At -THAT- point Vereesa stole a rank she had no right to, and formed the Silver Covenant. That is the order of events. The Playable Blood Elf model actually existed in game before the Silver Covenant were even thought of.
No they did not. They received the 90% of the dominant strain of the Species, that being those who call themselves Blood Elves.
Coughs “Nightborne”. Thalyssra does remark upon the fact that “We changed” and they do indeed look physically different. Night Elves have a finished model for a start, unlike Nightborne.
I’m assuming you are being facetious. Horde received Blood Elves, and Alliance got Draenei, Horde received Nightborne and Aliance got Void Elves. Do I have to do baby steps through this?
‘Again’ implies a reiteration of a statement, use the language correctly. Ogres were actually requested (Gods know why, I hate the idea) You just don’t like the idea of being wrong.
Sometimes people come up with good ideas and background, and suggestions to make them playable.
Sometimes people just screech “Silver Covenant! Silver Covenant!” without actually contributing in any meaningful way.
What so the requested race on Horde was Elves, not Ogres?
How does that make sense? Also, we have two types of Elves, and I think that is enough, don’t you?
There we go. Your argument has just went out of the window.
I feel embarrassed for genuine High Elf Fans.
Those two things do not necessarily go together. High Elf Paladins were -INCREDIBLY- rare and most of them are now Blood Knights.
Also, since when did you care about racials? You’ve never added a shred of useful ideas about them.
Let me guess…
“Silver Covenant! Silver Covenant!”
Folks just stop replying to Moontear. They either have the mental capacity of a house brick or they’re trolling. Either way we can just ignore them now and let this thread die.
Someone else can make a thread with a structured and articulated point of view on the matter.
they would fit well for highelves and alliance.
me and we
source? because it’s pretty much alliance race was given to horde, not other way around.
yes they did,. and now full highelf customization
can you link at least one active topic about them ? I mean …they are so “requested” as allied race, i bet you can link at least one?
as allied race? Yes please
You mean we are more in shape, do not job like chicken on one spot?
i meant that it affected your thinking XD
Our thinking developed that much that we used arcane magic to make our clothes and the weapons we use.
this one…
Do you know what does physical means?
ok ok , please tell me.
I have a suspicion, Erevien bumped his head and the trauma inverted his Blood Elven fanatism and High/Void Elf hate and created the Moontear persona…
Hello!
I am one of the players who wants bloodelf hairstyles and colours so I can finally take off my hood and be happy and be like Alleria
I was so happy when they added the skin colours, shame they went only half way.
Hopefully next patch they will add more racial customizations including bloodelf hairstyles that are so wanted!
