My God!
Blood elves are tomatoes!!!
Don’t blow our secret, shhhhh…
no theyre not
Apologies for this High Elf fans, your thread has been invaded, you will see nothing but one person’s pathological hatred of Blood Elves now, and bad walls of text without punctuation.
The game has a sh**load of elves already.
It’s still weird to me there are reskined belves in Stormwind.
Its you blood elf fanboys that should apologies as all you do is post hatred and discrimination against high elves
So I take it you didn’t notice my posts about potential High Elf starting zones, customisation, opening storyline, mounts, racials, the varying NPC’s that could be good focal characters for them, and just jumped in here screaming about Blood Elves, as usual.
Because if had paid attention, you would have noticed that I am not against High Elves at all.
But sure, you do you, make this thread about High Elves all about how much you hate Blood Elves. I’m sure they will thank you for it.
Can you please stop derailing.
See what you’re going to have to put up with now, High Elf fans?
If not highelves that were passed to horde to save them from dying…you would not exist.
It’s weird that elves are even in horde, they should never joined them in the first place.
Exactly. Especially Brigante. You can link official lore source he will still deny it.
considering that you are mocking the high elfs its not they who have to put up with anything other than you insulting the high elves so not sure what you mean when you are just pointing out yourself
and people in hell want ice water
That is a bare-faced lie, and you know it. When have I ever done so? Come on? When have I ever done so? I’ll be waiting.
Where am I doing this? That is also a bare-faced lie. Prove it, where have I done this? I have been constructive from the start, and you clatter in, having not read the thread, and just start making it all about you hating Blood Elves…
Again…
Both of you, Tell the truth.
Well, Blizzard actually agree with me, but by all means, look up ‘High Elf’ on Wowpedia, with it’s associated sources. That isn’t an insult by the way, it is repeating Blizzard’s own view, that there is no biological difference between a High Elf and a Blood Elf. There is a -political- difference, and there is the difference that the Blood Elves -used to- siphon mana from creatures, which the High Elves refused to learn to do so, but in a CDevs question and answer session they confirmed how the eyeglow works, and they specifically stated that any High Elf exposed to fel, would get green eyes in lore. That doesn’t turn them into a Blood Elf, because that is a political allegiance, that is simply what happens to -any- Thalassian Elf exposed to Fel. Heck, I even gave two examples, one green eyed High elf, and one Blue Eyed Blood Elf, that are both in game.
That isn’t proof you know, that is just you saying it.
Also, quit it with the personal insults. I know I shouldn’t keep having to tell you, but you do it anyway wherever I post. Stop making this personal, it is creepy.
AAAAAnyway, back on topic, as we were before…
It is disappointing that there was an opportunity to make High Elves playable, we saw a lot of High Elves have joined the Seventh Legion for example in BFA, there is of course the Silver Covenant, from WotLK, and also the Highvale Elves, Who were I believe introduced in TBC? Might have been Wotlk, but I’m pretty sure they were in TBC, so you have three distinct groups there, which would be sufficiently different as to give variety to High Elves.
You have three iconic High Elves really, Obviously Vereesa Windrunner, but also Auric Sunchaser, and Ranger-Lord Renthar Hawkspear (Ironically he and Lor’themar Theron held the same rank when Sylvanas was alive and Ranger General)
You’ve got a neat balance there, Vereesa is very militant, but young, Auric Sunchaser seems to have the devout in the Light aspect, and Renthar Hawkspear covers the Ranger aspect. There isn’t really a strong Mage character for the High Elves (Though we can see they have them) but there is a strong Priestess character in Aurora. Both Renthar and Aurora are two of the three survivors of Quel’lithien lodge, so they know the dangers of over-feeding on Mana, whether from creatures, or items.
There is a potential starting zone, in what I believe was called the Greenwald, which is an area you can see on the Eastern Kingdoms loading screen, between Quel’thalas and the Eastern Kingdoms, sort of to the East of Quel’thalas, and North of Eastern Plaguelands. Apparently you can get to it, and someone, might have been Jakafo, actually took screenshots, and posted them here.
Mounts, well, Could be Quel’dorei steeds as seen at the Argent Tournament, could be a variant of Nightsaber, as we see Vereesa riding at the battle of Suramar. Flying mounts, they seem to favour Hippogryphs, though I think it highly unlikely that they do not also have Dragonhawks.
Starting questing experience? I think it would be nice if they did a sort of flashback, like the Gilnean starting zone, dealing with the immediate Exile and how the High Elves formed themselves, if they used the Greenwald they could put plenty of mobs and challenges in there to reflect the Exile’s trials as they coped with their Exile, and made their way to join the Alliance.
Remember, the Exile from Silvermoon was a bloodless affair, those Exiled were given time to say goodbye to friends and loved ones, pack their belongings and go, It is entirely possible that it is a Ghostlands type scenario, where there are Scourge remnants that need to be put down.
I mean it might actually make a decent home for them eventually, as the Blood Elves don’t particularly seem to want to hunt them down.
Racials? Same as Blood Elves, they are the same people after all -However- the Blood Elves learned a trick to feed off living creatures, which the High Elves refused to learn, so no Arcane Torrent for High Elves.
Instead, given that many sated the hunger by draining magical items (Which any Thalassian Elf can do) perhaps it works like this: Any magic item, great or small, they can drain, giving them a buff to their Primary stat, the more powerful the item, the better the buff and longer the duration. This gives them a Combat utility ability. Picture it like the buff that raiders feasts get.
Anyway, those were my -constructive- Ideas as to High Elves could work as a playable race.
well, for e.g. when i linked source that in newest book written about blood elves fel addiction.
nice ideas.
No! Bad! No Biscuit.
Besides the Sin’dorei/Shal’dorei and Quel’dorei kind of have that market covered now. I mean heck, there are even Drider in the North west of Suramar
Actually…
IF Day of the Dragon by Richard A. Knaak is still canon, then they DO exist in WoW
“Dark elves were elves, but not like high elves. They were beautiful in their own way, too, but it was a cold, haughty beauty, one that in the end repelled. The beauty of the dark elves was said to be almost as chill as Deathwing’s voice, if not colder. They were lesser beings with minute lifespans and quick to rashness, plunging into what was believed too great a risk. In their folly, they brought demons”

No blizzard dont agree with you and i dont need to look it up as i already know the lore so go look it up yourself where they show you that there is a biological diffrence so yes you insult them by saying they are identical when you know they are not.

That isn’t proof you know,
Yes it is

Also, quit it with the personal insults. I know I shouldn’t keep having to tell you, but you do it anyway wherever I post. Stop making this personal, it is creepy.
again i only respond to you with insults after you do them but considering how short you memory is thats no suprise that i once again have to repeat so take you own advice and stop it.

Flagged you for name calling there is no need for you to do it ,If you can not be civil do not post .
Thats a statement no a name calling perhaps it would do you good to learn what the thing you accuse people of doing but i doubt you will from earlier experience with your ridicoulus behavior… and fine i report you for false reporting then and apperantly you dont read as he started by insulting me so have fun beeing flagged yourself Daestra
