That’s all true enough. That happens when they just decide to keep the same hairstyles with the opportunity to switch off void effects. Once switched off, you can clearly see something’s missing from the original design.
An easy fix is to just give them more hairstyles or replace the ones they have now. Either way, at this point, we have High Elves. To keep pushing for High Elves to be added when they are already there is illogical. All we need are just new labels to separate the sub-races, as you called them, and yeah…
Because of narrative consistency. As mentioned High Elves have been represented in the alliance since vanilla and nearly every expansion afterwards. At least two major high elf characters also exists in the alliance (though one has pretty much become the equivalent of a void DH).
The BE/HE haven’t been visually unique for the horde. Even back in TBC when Blood Elves were released alliance was given this village
And then there is dalaran with it’s Red/Blue side.
The only uniqueness blood elves have is their clear red motif, while their high elf brethren have a clear blue motif.
If sub-races become a thing then we can have the Paladin class. And there’s already a silver covenant tabard in-game. About the heritage armor and the racials… yeah, without a separate race, it’s a RIP.
Yes, the famous roleplaying pirate server for the most part XD
It’s not really there if it’s something from a rep from 12 years ago. Void elves have their equipment appearances added for them that have better visual quality by the fact these aren’t more than a decade old, that’s what someone who wants to play as a High elf doesn’t have.
That I am ignorant is solely your subjective opinion, one which I do not take to heart just due to how baseless it is
Nothing that couldn’t be easily fixed if Blizz introduced labels to the Void Elves, separated them into sub-races so we have Velves and Helves, and then just give the Helves a racial of their own. The racials could also literally just be reskinned and renamed - given new colours and particle effects or some such. The latter is probably not even needed to make it believable.
Spatial Rift could be an Arcane spell.
Chill of Night can be renamed and the magic resistance changed to Arcane from Shadow.
Entropic embrace. Rename and change type of magic. Arcane or Light. Since there’s healing involved, the Light would make the most sense.
Ethereal connection. Can keep the exact same name and leave it as it is. It is just void storage and transmogrification. Big deal.
Preternatural Calm. Can keep the same name and effect. Or rename it into… I don’t know. Preternatural Resilience or whatever.
Reduce your pride a little bit. Will serve you well when engaging a conversation with people you don’t know ^^
I don’t think we really need to worry much about Sub-races for more class/race combinations, if Blizzard is going to look at the future of removing the class/race restrictions. They have already established 3 classes for every race from 10.0, and also said that more classes may need a little more work before adding them to other races.
Bravo, bravo!! I love you! Imagine Entropic embrace being renamed to Enlightened Embrace or some sort ooomggg it’d be so cool!! Why must you do this, I’m so hyped again!
Spatial Rift - Arcane Jolt
Chill of Night - Daybreak
You coming to the thread stating something that isn’t true that I demonstrated it not being true with a list of missing features is not an opinion.
It’s better off adding the race than all of this for a race that’s already added, don’t you think? Don’t you see how ridiculous is it to “reskin” all of that? LOL
And even then there’s things missing from your “idea” as the paladin class, the differentiation NPCs make regarding the player’s race, the race’s cosmetics, etc…
DUDE!!! XDDDDDD
Hear me out pal, I’m not taking advice from people with lack of self reflection, as this is something that if you applied to yourself you wouldn’t have come to the thread questioning why others are still talking about something instead of trying to actually understand why KEK
There’s no need to be arguing, he’s just trying to come up with solutions. I doubt sub-races will become a thing and it’s even more unlikely that a new High elf race will become a thing as well… first they (the devs) would need to be willing to respond and understand where we come from…
From a professional angle, that might be the very reason they didn’t. Anything resembling “minimal effort” additions to World of Warcraft tend to be drawn and quartered by the playerbase, and outright copying an already existing race would have made for an obvious target.
Some players would have been pleased no doubt, but unless the developers knew that it would be the majority, I wager it came down to trying to have and eat their cake at the same time. Ergo void elves, the compromise.
Because elves are alliance race or on their own, they do not belong to horde. High elves were and are alliance thing, not horde.
She is one, she did not changed, high elf using void powers. Ok, maybe high-void elf. That would be more accurate.
But i stated facts. High elves are not playable. Void elves and blood elves are.
watch again videos, i posted. They are all different, that’s why they are 3 different factions high/void/blood, not under one tag.
Well, lets make 100+ complicated solutions and more resources to make void elves look more like high elves BUT not give easier and already least work required actual race the high elves that has been and are iconic alliance race since forever?
He is not making any solutions that would stop asking the high elves. Void elves should have more void customizations not more to look like the high elves.
They changed the lore before to make blood elves joined the horde even if didn’t make any kind of sense (But because of outcry of the horde players that their player base was dying out. And they knew alliance wanted high elves to be playable so they put 2 and 2 together instead of making a new race for the horde that was both savage and used magic wildly and was beautiful but that’s not was blizzard did and choosed to do the lazy way. Then they did it again in the last patch with the sunwell, just so they could say "There, there alliance, there is your high elves and ruin the blood elf story and their struggle for power because the sunwell was never going to be reignited ever again. that was their story. their famous quote “Remember the Sunwell” what’s to remember? they reignited it.) in any way so they changed it so it make some kind…of sense for them the join. But regardless they part of the horde but we just want the High elves that never left the alliance (Think I said this several times) who never lost faith in the alliance.
To be based of Vereesa Windrunner,
Hair color white or blond/white (paler blonde due to their suffering of mana starvation) Different kinds of blue and purple with their new source that blue dragonflight have. While the blood elves have more darker color of blonde, black, red etc the alliance high elves could have the hair colors that is more paler colors. And like the blue dragons of azuna, have mana crystals with them to siphon on. The high elf mages could have staves with mana crystals to empower them.
Don’t forget the character background need to change too. Sure I like the stars in the background for void elves but then the rest is just “Death” and I don’t like that part. There is a dead skull there, dead tree, even the ground is dead.
Should blizzard split them as you wrote sub races. The alliance have high elves and void elves and horde have blood elves and dark fallen. then they could do want ever they want with the void elves customizations. Be it third eye or several eyes or tentacles all over the face, or whatever they want to do with them. I would be fine with that as we high elf fans would have finally have our high elves.
Also if we choose The High elves we should start at a different place than in Telogrus Rift. And we be greeted by Vereesa windrunner and her Silver covenant instead of Alleria and Umbric. Or both Vereesa windrunner and Alleria with 2 Silver Covenant members.
